Job summary

Segula Technologies India is seeking a CAE Crash Analyst with hands-on expertise in ANSA, LS-DYNA, and PAM-CRASH to conduct crashworthiness simulations and support vehicle development through advanced CAE methodologies.

You will develop FE models, perform multi-scenario crash simulations, validate setups, and present findings to cross-functional teams to meet crash performance targets.

Qualifications

• 2–7 years total experience as CAE crash analyst or similar role.
• Hands-on experience with ANSA, LS-DYNA and PAM-CRASH.

Responsibilities

• Develop, prepare, and quality-check FE models using ANSA for crash analysis.
• Run crash simulations with LS-DYNA and PAM-CRASH across frontal, side, rear, roof, and pedestrian scenarios.
• Define and validate simulation setups with materials, contacts, boundary conditions, and loads.
• Analyze results: deformation, intrusion, stress, strain, acceleration, force, energy absorption.

CAE Crash Analyst Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CAE Crash Analyst with hands‑on experience in ANSA, LS-DYNA, and PAM-CRASH to perform crashworthiness simulations, analyze vehicle safety performance, and support product development through advanced CAE methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop, prepare, and quality-check finite element (FE) models using ANSA for vehicle and subsystem crash analysis.
2. Perform crashworthiness simulations using LS-DYNA and PAM-CRASH for frontal, side, rear, roof crush, and pedestrian impact load cases.
3. Define and validate simulation setups, including materials, contacts, connections, boundary conditions, and load cases.
4. Analyze simulation results, including deformation, intrusion, stress, strain, acceleration, force, and energy absorption, to assess structural performance.
5. Correlate CAE simulation results with physical crash test data and implement model updates to improve prediction accuracy.
6. Optimize vehicle structures to achieve crash performance targets while balancing weight, cost, and manufacturability.
7. Investigate and resolve model quality and solver‑related issues to improve simulation stability, convergence, and computational efficiency.
8. Prepare detailed technical reports, summarize analysis findings, and present recommendations to cross‑functional engineering teams.
9. Collaborate with BIW, design, safety, and product development teams to support design improvements and meet crashworthiness objectives.
10. Ensure compliance with OEM standards, regulatory safety requirements and CAE best practice throughout the crash analysis and vehicle development process.
