Job summary

SEGULA Technologies in India is seeking a CAE Crash Analyst with hands-on experience in ANSA, LS-DYNA, and PAM‑CRASH to perform crashworthiness simulations and support product development through advanced CAE methodologies.

You will develop FE models, run multi-case crash analyses, correlate results with physical tests, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet safety objectives and optimize structures for weight and cost.

Responsibilities

• Develop, prepare, and quality-check FE models for vehicle crash analysis using ANSA.
• Run crashworthiness simulations with LS‑DYNA and PAM‑CRASH for frontal, side, rear, roof, and pedestrian impacts.
• Define and validate simulation setups including materials, contacts, and boundary conditions.
• Analyse deformation, intrusion, stresses, energy absorption to assess structural performance.
• Correlate CAE results with physical tests and implement model updates to improve accuracy.
• Optimize vehicle structures to meet crash targets while balancing weight and cost.
• Investigate and resolve solver issues to improve stability and efficiency.
• Prepare technical reports and present findings to cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with BIW, design, safety, and product development teams to drive improvements.
• Ensure compliance with OEM standards and CAE best practices.

CAE Crash Analyst – Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CAE Crash Analyst with hands‑on experience in ANSA, LS‑DYNA, and PAM‑CRASH to perform crashworthiness simulations, analyse vehicle safety performance, and support product development through advanced CAE methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, prepare, and quality‑check finite element (FE) models using ANSA for vehicle and subsystem crash analysis.
• Perform crashworthiness simulations using LS‑DYNA and PAM‑CRASH for frontal, side, rear, roof crush, and pedestrian impact load cases.
• Define and validate simulation setups, including materials, contacts, connections, boundary conditions, and load cases.
• Analyse simulation results, including deformation, intrusion, stress, strain, acceleration, force, and energy absorption, to assess structural performance.
• Correlate CAE simulation results with physical crash test data and implement model updates to improve prediction accuracy.
• Optimise vehicle structures to achieve crash performance targets while balancing weight, cost, and manufacturability.
• Investigate and resolve model quality and solver‑related issues to improve simulation stability, convergence, and computational efficiency.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, summarise analysis findings, and present recommendations to cross‑functional engineering teams.
• Collaborate with BIW, design, safety, and product development teams to support design improvements and meet crashworthiness objectives.
• Ensure compliance with OEM standards, regulatory safety requirements, and CAE best practices throughout the crash analysis and vehicle development process.
