Job summary

AECOM is seeking a skilled CAD Technician to support engineering, surveying, and land development through accurate drawings, mapping deliverables, and geospatial models. The role focuses on AutoCAD, LiDAR processing, and GIS data management across infrastructure projects.

The candidate should have 5–8 years in CAD drafting or geospatial work and strong proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroStation. Collaboration with surveyors and engineers is essential for project success.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, Surveying, Drafting, Geography, GIS, or related discipline.
• 5-8 years of experience in CAD drafting, surveying, LiDAR processing, or geospatial data management.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or equivalent drafting software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, modify, and maintain detailed engineering drawings, plans, maps, and technical documentation using AutoCAD and related CAD software.
• Process and interpret LiDAR point cloud data, aerial survey data, and other geospatial datasets to generate accurate mapping deliverables.
• Develop topographic maps, digital terrain models (DTMs), contour plans, and site development drawings.
• Coordinate with surveyors, engineers, planners, and project managers to ensure design accuracy and project compliance.
• Convert field survey data into CAD drawings and geospatial models.
• Assist in land development, transportation, infrastructure, and utility projects by preparing technical drawings and layouts.
• Perform quality checks on drawings and survey data to ensure adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
