Job summary

HNB Engineers Pvt. Ltd in Pune seeks a skilled CAD Operator / Draftsman with civil engineering expertise to produce accurate 2D/3D drawings for EPC projects, ensuring IS code compliance and coordination with design teams. The role covers RCC structures, foundations, STP/WTP layouts, and BIM support.

The candidate will revise drawings per engineer input, maintain logs, and prepare tender-ready PDFs for site use, with collaboration across architects, structural engineers, and MEP teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or equivalent; ITI certification in Drafting preferred.
• 2-5 years of hands-on experience as CAD Draftsman in civil/structural projects (EPC firms ideal).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D), Civil 3D, Revit Structure, or similar; knowledge of STAAD, ETABS a plus.
• Familiarity with civil standards (IS 456, IS 3370 for STP/WTP), layering conventions, and annotation best practices.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to handle tight deadlines.
• Good communication skills for team coordination; basic MS Office (Excel for BOQs) required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed civil engineering drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or STAAD.Pro, including RCC structures, PT slabs, façades, foundations, sewage treatment plants (STP), and water treatment layouts.
• Convert sketches, markups, and engineer instructions into precise 2D/3D models, sections, elevations, and plans.
• Revise drawings based on site feedback, RFIs (Requests for Information), and as-built conditions; maintain drawing logs and version control.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and MEP teams to integrate drawings and resolve clashes.
• Ensure drawings adhere to Indian Standards (IS codes), CPHEEO manuals, NBC guidelines, and project specifications.
• Plot, print, and distribute drawings; prepare PDFs and digital submissions for tenders, approvals, and site use.
• Support quantity takeoffs, BOQs, and basic cost estimation from drawings using Excel or CAD tools.
• Maintain organized drawing archives and assist in BIM modeling for large infrastructure projects.
