Johnson Controls in Pune, India, is seeking a CAD engineer to produce accurate 2D drawings and develop 3D models for complex HVAC and building systems. You will work closely with mechanical, electrical, and design engineers, delivering outputs suitable for fabrication and installation.
Based in Pune with local office availability, you will be integrated into a UK-based CAD team, collaborating across disciplines and with international delivery teams.

Produce accurate 2D engineering drawings using AutoCAD (or similar)
Develop and maintain 3D models and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor (or equivalent)
Produce detailed engineering outputs including:
Create detailed 3D models including:
Deliver CAD outputs that are clear, accurate, and suitable for fabrication and installation
Support projects across:
Ensure designs are practical, buildable, and aligned with engineering requirements
Work closely with third-party suppliers, fabrication partners, and international delivery teams
Provide clear and accurate CAD outputs to support external manufacture and installation
Respond to supplier queries and coordinate design adjustments where required
Ensure all externally issued drawings and models comply with internal CAD standards and project requirements
Apply company CAD standards and governance to all outputs
Drawings are controlled, consistent, and traceable
Revisions are clearly managed and approved prior to issue
All outputs are reviewed before release
Participate in CAD checking and review processes
Work as part of a distributed team (UK + India)
Contribute to the development of team capability, including future improvements such as CAD data management systems
Take ownership of improving overall quality and efficiency of outputs
