Job summary

Pai Kane Group in Goa seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to design project layouts and support commercial proposals. You will prepare budgets, analyze specifications, and develop 2D/3D engineering solutions in line with client requirements.

The role requires SAP, AutoCAD, and Inventor knowledge, plus 2 years of relevant experience. English fluency is essential; you will collaborate across functions and locations, driving innovation and quality in projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or similar (engineering discipline).

Responsibilities

• Design technical layouts to support preparation of commercial proposals in line with client requirements.
• Assist in preparing budgets for commercial proposals based on prices from purchasing and designed layouts.
• Analyze proposals, specs, and drawings to develop the engineering project in 2D/3D per revised budget and develop strategic projects.
• Carry out project simulations, planning and assess feasibility.
• Design data digitisation solutions in Inventor where applicable.
• Collect comments and changes during R&D, development and production to update documents.
• Handle, monitor and implement innovation projects.
• Organize and archive developed projects.
• Select materials and mechanical components for budgeting/execution of projects.
• Provide technical support in preparing instruction manuals.
• Support and interact with production to ensure correct assembly of projects.
• Maintain technical contact with suppliers.
• Carry out tasks assigned by Project Manager.
• Comply with QHSE Management System and contribute to its improvement.

Job description

To design project engineering solutions in accordance with Client requirements and estimated costs, as well as the strategic guidelines set by management, company standards and procedures, and applicable local and international legislation, with the aim of designing and proposing the best solution for the Client

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design the necessary technical layouts to support the preparation of commercial proposals, in line with client requirements;
• Assist in preparing budgets for commercial proposals, based on prices provided by the purchasing department and the designed layouts, meeting the client’s budget whenever possible;
• Analyze awarded commercial proposals, specifications, and drawings in order to develop and design the engineering project in 2D and 3D, adhering to the defined revisedbudget (when applicable);
  Develop strategic and innovation projects;
• Carry out project simulations, planning and assessing their feasibility (when applicable);
• Design data digitisation solutions in Inventor (when applicable);
• Collect comments, changes, and/or other adjustments made during the R&D, development, and production phases, in order to update and correct the produced documents;
• Handle, monitor, and implement innovation projects;
• Organize and archive developed projects;
• Select materials and mechanical components required for budgeting/execution of projects;
• Provide technical support in the preparation of instruction manuals;
• Support and interact with production to ensure correct assembly of the developed projects;
