Job summary

Raptee Energy, a full-stack electric motorcycle startup based in Chennai, invites motivated CAD/CAE interns to join our early development team. As an intern you will support product development and the founding team across design and analysis activities.

You will work on frame, battery box, body panels, and gearbox, performing solid/surface modelling and simulations. Proficiency with SolidWorks is preferred; HyperWorks experience is a plus. INR 15000 monthly stipend is provided.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of vehicle dynamics and automotive technology.
• Prior experience with design software (SolidWorks).
• Prior experience with analysis software (HyperWorks).
• Willingness to learn and contribute to early product development.

Responsibilities

• Design (solid and surface modelling) and perform simulations to optimize cost and production viability.
• Work on components such as the Frame, Battery Box, Body Panels, Gearbox.
• Research component functions and failure modes and analyze under various operating conditions.

Raptee Energy is a full- stack electric motorcycle startup with a very strong technical moat, founded in 2019 by four engineers from Chennai (Ex Tesla, Wipro), working on bringing a no-compromise upgrade motorcycle to an otherwise scooter- only EV market. Raptee is incubated at CIIC & ARAI.

Job Summary

We are seeking for motivated and detail-oriented CAD/CAE interns to join our team and make an immediate impact. As a CAD/CAE Intern, you will provide support to both the product development team and the founding team across various areas.

Job Responsibilities

• Work with other teams to design (Solid and Surface Modelling), analyze (Structural, Thermal and Aerodynamic Simulations) and iterate to arrive at a cost optimized and production feasible component.
• Work on components such as the Frame, Battery Box, Body Panels, Gearbox, etc.
• Research on component's function and failure modes, its manufacturing feasibility and run analysis for different working conditions of the component.

Requirements

• Possess a basic understanding of vehicle dynamics and automotive technology.
• Have prior experience with design software, preferably SolidWorks.
• Have prior experience with analysis software, preferably HyperWorks.
• Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot problems and come up with innovative solutions.
