Job summary

WSP India is seeking a CAD Technician – Civils (Highways) to create and maintain roadways drawings using Autodesk Civil 3D and Bentley MicroStation. You will collaborate with engineering and CAD/BIM teams to ensure designs meet industry standards and project requirements.

Preferred: Diploma in Civil Engineering with 5+ years of GCC/consulting experience, knowledge of highway drainage, and proficiency in Bentley, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD. Eligible to work in India offices.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering required (minimum 5 years of relevant experience).
• Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D and Bentley MicroStation for highway projects.
• Knowledge of Highway engineering principles and drainage is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain roadways drawings using Autodesk Civil 3D or Bentley MicroStation.
• Review drawings for compliance with client and WSP CAD standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining Roadways engineering drawings using Autodesk and Bentley software. • This role is for a CAD Technician – Civil-Roads contribute to Civil Infrastructure projects, deliverables in compliance with WSP CAD standards.

• Responsible for Preparation of drawings including conceptual sketches and detailed construction drawings, using Autodesk Civil 3D or Bentley MicroStation

• Reviewing drawings to ensure compliance with Client drafting standards.

• Responsible for CAD tasks as directed by the Senior CAD and Engineers.

• Ensuring that quality procedures are implemented and maintained

• Provide regular work status updates, including risks or concerns, to line manager.

• Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies.

• Develop expertise and stay up to date of developments in Drafting skills.

• Coordinate with a multi-disciplinary project team.

• Carry out audits of adherence to WSP Management and Quality processes and implement corrective measures where required

• Autodesk ACC or Bently ProjectWise experience would be an asset.

Requirements:

• Preference will be given to candidates with minimum 5 years of experience in a GCC/ Consulting firm using Autodesk Civil 3D software or Bentley MicroStation.

• Should have knowledge in Highway and Highways drainage (Transportation & Infrastructure).

• Proficiency in Bentley software, including Microstation and ORD.

• Proficiency in Autodesk software, such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

• Strong understanding of highway engineering principles and practices.

• Excellent knowledge of Plan, Profile, Sections, Road Furniture and Detail Drawings.

• Exceptional attention to details and accuracy.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Ensure that work produced adheres to specified WSP CAD standards and suggest revisions to standards as appropriate.

• High degree of self-motivation and the ability to motivate others.

Mandatory Skills:

• Experience with Autodesk software such as Civil 3D, Bentley MicroStation and ProjectWise.

• Strong communication skills.

• International projects experience

Desired Skills:

• Proficient in 3D modelling, Civil 3D and Microstation.

Skills To Be Evaluated On:

• Proficient in Microstation, Highways detailing, Highway Drawing Production and Modelling

Mandatory Qualification:

• Diploma in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

• Qualification (If Other): B Tech. Civil

BGV:
