Job summary

Medanta in Gurgaon is seeking a Manager Financial Reporting, MIS & Statutory Audits to manage financial reporting, book closures, MIS, statutory compliance and audit requirements for diagnostics centres, laboratories, pharmacies and related healthcare operations.

The role ensures accurate and timely financial reporting, robust closures, audit readiness, compliance with Ind AS/IFRS, and meaningful financial MIS for management decision-making across multiple locations.

Qualifications

  • Qualified CA
  • 5–10 years of relevant experience in Financial Reporting, MIS, Statutory Audit and Accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for the Diagnostics and Pharmacy businesses.
  • Drive timely month-end, quarter-end and year-end book closures in coordination with Finance and business teams.
  • Review general ledger, provisions, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, depreciation and other balance sheet schedules.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of revenue, expenses, receivables, payables, inventory accounting.
  • Ensure appropriate accounting and reconciliation of diagnostic revenue, pharmacy sales, discounts, refunds, collections and other business transactions.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet schedules and conduct periodic balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Identify accounting gaps, unusual movements and variances and drive timely resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with Ind AS / IFRS and accounting policies.
  • Prepare financial statements, schedules and disclosures as required.
  • Support implementation of new accounting standards and changes in accounting policies.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure appropriate accounting treatment for new business initiatives and transactions.
  • Prepare and present monthly MIS and financial dashboards for management.
  • Develop business-wise and location-wise reporting for Diagnostics, Pharmacy and other healthcare verticals.
  • Analyse revenue, gross margins, operating expenses, EBITDA, working capital and profitability.
  • Provide variance analysis against budget, forecast and previous periods with actionable insights.
  • Develop reports covering key business metrics such as diagnostic volumes, revenue per test, pharmacy sales, gross margins, inventory, receivables and operating costs.
  • Support management with financial analysis and decision-support reports.
  • Act as the key Finance SPOC for statutory audits and ensure timely completion of audit activities.
  • Prepare audit schedules, financial statements, supporting documents and audit packs.
  • Coordinate with statutory auditors and internal stakeholders for audit queries, confirmations, reconciliations and information requests.
  • Track audit observations and ensure timely closure of open points.
  • Support internal, tax and other regulatory audits, wherever required.
  • Strengthen audit readiness and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions.
  • Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax and other applicable regulations.
  • Coordinate with tax consultants and internal teams for statutory filings, reconciliations and assessments.
  • Ensure appropriate accounting and reconciliation of statutory liabilities.
  • Monitor compliance calendars and ensure timely resolution of exceptions.
  • Support annual budgeting and financial planning for Diagnostics and Pharmacy businesses.
  • Support business teams in evaluating new centres, pharmacies, expansion plans and other financial proposals.
  • Establish and strengthen financial controls, accounting processes and reporting mechanisms.
  • Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency and compliance.
  • Ensure proper documentation and adherence to SOPs and financial policies.
  • Work closely with Operations, Commercial, Procurement, Supply Chain, HR and other functions to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Reporting To: Finance Head of the Vertical

Role Purpose:

We are looking for a Manager Financial Reporting, MIS & Statutory Audits to manage financial reporting, book closures, MIS, statutory compliance and audit requirements for a growing healthcare business comprising diagnostic centres, laboratories, pharmacies and related healthcare operations.

The role will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, robust month-end/quarter-end/year-end closures, statutory audit readiness, compliance with applicable accounting standards, and meaningful financial MIS for management decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting & Book Closure
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for the Diagnostics and Pharmacy businesses.
  • Drive timely month-end, quarter-end and year-end book closures in coordination with Finance and business teams.

  • Strong experience in month-end/quarter-end/year-end book closures and audit coordination.
Required Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of Ind AS / IFRS and financial reporting
