Job summary

Airbus Defence and Space in Vadodara leads C295 flight-test operations, coordinating with production, flight-line and operations teams to ensure safety and compliance. You will act as the local liaison with the Chief Test Pilot and oversee test planning, execution and documentation.

The role requires C295 flight-test experience, EASA credentials and excellent leadership, with travel to Spain during training and a strong emphasis on risk and quality management.

Qualifications

• English proficiency at ICAO Level 5 or higher.
• EASA Test Pilot Graduate or equivalent.
• C295-qualified Captain with relevant test experience.
• Experience with Technical Logbook management and configuration control.
• Strong leadership, communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Willingness to travel, including to Spain during training.
• Good judgment with awareness of compliance risks and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure the safety of Airbus flight operations at Vadodara and during detached operations from base.
• Plan, brief, execute and debrief C295 ground and flight tests, including functional checks, production acceptance and post-maintenance flights.
• Act as the local interface with the Airbus Defence and Space Chief Test Pilot and test-pilot leadership.
• Lead flight dispatch activities: prepare flight plans, review weather and NOTAMs, confirm aircraft configuration and technical status.
• Coordinate local flight scheduling and operational sequencing with the Final Assembly Line and flight-line personnel.
• Manage on-site coordination with airport authorities, the Indian Air Force and air-traffic authorities.
• Apply Airbus Defence and Space policies and procedures to local operations, including configuration control and Technical Logbook management.
• Produce clear test documentation and reports; capture findings and ensure proper traceability.
• Champion safety, risk management, compliance and continuous improvement across all flight operations.
