Job summary

Embitel Technologies in Bengaluru is seeking an Embedded Safety Software Engineer to contribute to safety-critical automotive software projects. You will work on ISO 26262–compliant development, implement safe multithreading, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safety goals are met.

Experience with POSIX and automotive communication protocols is valued. The role focuses on designing, developing and maintaining software including CLIs and libraries in an agile context.

Qualifications

• Experience in C++ (11, 14, 17, 20)
• Understanding of ISO 26262 lifecycle, HAZOP, HARA, ASIL classification, safety goals and safety requirement analysis for automotive software systems.
• Modeling and developing TSC/TSR/FSR/system architecture and portioning aligned to iso26262
• Developing safety-oriented Embedded C++ applications with safe multithreading, memory management, watchdog handling, fault detection, and fail-safe mechanisms.
• Knowledge of CAN, LIN, FlexRay, SOME/IP communication protocols (nice-to-have)
• POSIX filesystem hands-on experience
• Knowledge of Automotive/Adaptive AUTOSAR/QNX/Automotive ecosystems
• Designing, developing, and maintaining software including CLI tools, compilers, utilities and libraries
• TCP/IP configuration and networking basics

Requirements

• Experience in C++ (11, 14, 17, 20)
• Good understanding of ISO 26262 functional safety lifecycle, HAZOP, HARA, ASIL classification, safety goals, and safety requirement analysis for automotive software systems.
• Good Experience in modeling and developing TSC/TSR/FSR/system architecture and portioning aligned to iso26262
• Good Experience in developing safety-oriented Embedded C++ applications with knowledge of safe multithreading, design patterns, oops concept, memory management, watchdog handling, fault detection, and fail-safe mechanisms.
• Good to have Communication Protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, ETH and SOME/IP)
• Hand on experience in POSIX filesystem
• Good Knowledge in the Automotive/Adaptive AUTOSAR/QNX/Automotive
• Designing, developing, and maintaining software, including command line tools like compilers, utilities, and libraries.
• TCP/IP configuration (ifconfig, route, bridge, tap, VLAN, etc.)

Good to have skills

• Deep understanding of safety and development processes.
• Proficient in safety analysis methodologies.
• Familiarity with tools such as CodeBeamer/Doors, ArchE, Safety Analysis Reliability Workbench, and IQ FMEA
• Experience with any of the communication middleware (DDS, SOME/IP, ARA:COM, MQTT, gRPC, etc.)
• Good leadership, communication and presentation skills
• Capable of working independently on a given task
• Ability to work in and contribute to Agile team environmentLI>
