Job summary

Worldline is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Pune to develop software for processing electronic payments based on the Worldline Pay Front Office suite. You will collaborate with Service Delivery teams and coordinate coding activities with Instance Owners, Scrum Masters, and senior developers.

The role requires a Master or Bachelor in CS/Engineering, 6–10 years of IT experience, strong C++ and SQL skills, Git, UNIX, and CI/CD, plus Docker and cloud knowledge.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering.
• 6–10 years of IT services and software development experience.
• Strong C++ programming skills with SQL and data modeling.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git.
• Knowledge of UNIX and Agile methodologies.
• Good communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop software solutions for processing electronic payments based on the Worldline Pay Front Office suite.
• Coordinate with Service Delivery teams to align on requirements.
• Plan coding activities with Instance Owners, Scrum Masters, and Senior Developers.
• Write, test, and review high-quality code and test cases.
• Design, develop, and execute test cases; review results to meet requirements.
• Maintain and upgrade existing systems and document software for maintenance.

Who Are We Looking For

• University degree (master / bachelor) in computer science or engineering
• At least 6-10 years’ work experience in IT services and software development
• Knowledge of object orientated programming in C++, with relational databases, SQL and data model development
• Previous experience within a continuous development environment and working with ci/cd pipelines
• Knowledge of git and UNIX
• Knowledge of Agile methodology
• Strong analytical skills and problem solving attitude
• Strong sense for curiosity, proactivity, flexibility, accountability
• Enthusiastic to work in an international, scaled agile team of experts in daily cooperation
• Good communication skills, both oral and written
• Good knowledge of English is mandatory, both spoken and written

Skills We’d Like

• Knowledge of Docker
• Ability to operate in an advanced technically and fast-changing environment
• Knowledge or working experience on Cloud solutions

Knowledge or working experience on DevOps practices

• Experience in the area of electronic payments, in Acceptance/Acquiring or Issuing

Key Responsibilities

• Develop software solutions for processing electronic payments based on the Authorization and Switching software suite “Worldline Pay Front Office”
• Align on requirements with the Service Delivery teams
• Coordinate and plan coding activities with Instance Owner; Scrum Master and Senior Developers
• Write and implement efficient and high-quality code
• Design, develop and execute test cases
• Review results of test cases and make adjustments to meet requirements
• Plan, organize and perform code reviews and quality controls on the delivered software packages
• Maintain and upgrade existing systems and software
• Implement product or customer-specific adaptations and extensions
• Document all aspects of software, for ongoing maintenance and revisions
• Train and educate other team members
