Job summary

Wissen Technology is seeking a Software Engineering Manager for a funded development POD focused on a trading platform’s order routing, market data, risk checks, and FIX services. You’ll stay hands-on in code while coordinating delivery across multiple client engagements.

You will mentor a mid-sized team, drive best practices in C++, concurrency, and testing, and champion AI coding assistants with guardrails in place. Strong communication with stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• 10–12 years of engineering experience, with 2+ years in people management.
• Expert hands-on modern C++ (C++11–C++20).
• Experience in electronic trading / capital markets / low-latency systems (order lifecycle, FIX, market data, risk checks).
• Track record delivering projects in Agile across concurrent engagements.
• Hands-on use of AI coding assistants in real delivery.
• Linux and production diagnostics (GDB, ASan, perf).
• Proven people manager with strong stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery across concurrent customer engagements, including estimation and risk management.
• Author and review technical designs in modern C++.
• Drive engineering best practices (concurrency, performance, testing, CI).
• Champion AI coding tools with responsible-use guardrails.
• Lead a combined SE + SQE team with shared quality ownership.
• Line-manage the POD: 1:1s, growth, hiring, calibration.

Software Engineering Manager Funded Development (Services / NRR) PODRole: Working manager leading a POD that delivers customer-funded enhancements and bespoke work on a trading platform. Core surface: Order Routing and Market Data, with regular work into Risk, FIX services, and trading UI. Stays hands‑on in the code while owning delivery across multiple concurrent client engagements.Key Responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end delivery across concurrent customer engagements estimation, planning, CR workflow, risk escalation, stakeholder status
• Author/review technical designs in modern C++; escalation point on hard technical issues
• Drive engineering best practices (C++, concurrency, performance, testing, CI)
• Champion AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot) with responsible-use guardrails
• Lead a combined SE + SQE team with shared quality ownership
• Line-manage the POD: 1:1s, growth, hiring, calibration

Must-Haves:

• 10–12 yrs engineering experience, 2+ yrs managing a mid-sized team
