Quest Global in Chennai, India seeks an experienced software engineer to design, develop, and deploy components across the Windows stack.

You will work as an individual contributor on medium to high complexity tasks, applying best practices, unit testing, and documentation to deliver quality results.

Qualifications

Must have strong C++ expertise and experience with large-scale applications.
Solid understanding of object-oriented design, data structures and algorithms.
Hands-on with multi-threading and inter-process communication (gRPC preferred).
Knowledge of design patterns and unit testing tools; ability to analyze code.
Experience with modern C++ features (C++11/14/17/20).

Responsibilities

Analyse requirements, design, develop, modify, and deploy software components in Windows stack.
Write effective, reusable code following best practices.
Perform unit testing, verification, and validation of code.
Develop technical documents and handbooks for design and code.
Work as an individual contributor aligned with customer priorities.

Candidate Profile

The candidate will be furnishing an individual contribution role in technical execution of project tasks. The purpose of this role is to execute medium to high complex project tasks to generate deliverables on-time with the right quality using defined processes, tools and standards.

Key Responsibilities

Analyse requirements, design, develop, modify, and deploy software components anywhere in the Windows software stack.
Write effective and reusable code according to best practices.
Perform unit test, verification and validation of the code developed.
Develop technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent application design and code.
Work as an individual contributor aligned with customer priorities.

Skills and Qualifications

Must have C++ expertise, preferably large-scale application development.
Must have solid understanding of Object-Oriented Design concepts.
Strong hold on Data Structures & Algorithms.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and debugging skills.
Hands on experience in multi-threaded programming and IPC (preferably gRPC).
Knowledge in design patterns, unit testing framework and code analysis tools.

Desired Skills

Experience in Modern C++ features (C++ 11/14/17/20).
Experience with debugging tools like WinDbg, Perfmon etc. is a plus.
Experience in analysing windows event logs and application logs is a plus.
Good knowledge of OS internals/concepts.
Good to have Semiconductor domain experience.
Should be ready to learn, unlearn and re-learn.
