Job summary

Aziro is seeking a senior system software engineer in Pune to design, implement, and test production-quality C/C++ software for Linux-based storage appliances. You will develop and maintain platform layers and work across design discussions, code reviews, and project leadership.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years of Linux C/C++ experience, strong scripting skills, and deep knowledge of Linux internals, drivers, and multiprocessing architectures.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience developing/debugging/maintaining Linux applications in C/C++.
• Expert in C/C++ and scripting ( Bash, Python ) and the Linux/UNIX programming environment.
• Solid understanding of Linux/Unix internals including locking, semaphores, multiprocessor and multithreaded architectures, and device drivers.

Role & responsibilities

Overview

This is a C/C++ Linux senior system software engineering role requiring design, implementation, and testing of production-quality software for our storage products.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the platform layers .

Define requirements, design, implement and test and maintain product and platform features.

Participate in design discussions and design/code reviews.

Develop software in C/C++/ Python/bash for our Linux-based appliance platform.

Work independently as well as in team roles, including project leadership

Requirements

At least 12 years industry experience with developing/debugging/maintaining software applications for Linux in C/C++.

Expert in C/C++ and scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.) and the Linux/UNIX programming environment.

Solid understanding of Linux/Unix OS internals including locking and semaphores, multiprocessor and multithreaded architectures, device drivers, inter-process communication, etc.

Strong HW and SW troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; ability to create efficient solutions to complex problems including SW workarounds to HW bugs

Desirable Skills

Knowledge of one or more of the storage protocols -- NVMe, SCSI, SATA, SAS

Knowledge developing Linux device drivers.

Knowledge of Linux kernel architecture.

Experience developing high availability/fault tolerant systems.
