Ivanan consultancy & Services seeks a highly experienced Storage Firmware Engineer with 15+ years of expertise to design, develop, and optimize firmware for enterprise-class storage products. The role requires deep knowledge of HDD, SSD, NVMe, SAS, SATA, FTL, and storage controller architectures.

You will lead firmware architecture from concept to deployment, drive performance and reliability improvements, mentor engineers, and collaborate with customers and field teams to define roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• 15+ years of firmware development experience with minimum 5+ experience in storage Firmware.
• Strong expertise in: C/C++, Embedded Systems, RTOS and Bare-Metal Development, Storage Firmware Architecture, Experience with firmware debugging using JTAG, Logic Analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
• Strong understanding of memory management, concurrency, interrupts, and performance optimization.
• Should be aware about any system level scripting language: Python, Perl, Shell, Lua etcs
• Excellent in object-oriented design including Data structures
• Good knowledge of HW, SOC architecture, processor architecture
• Strong analytical skill with hands‑on debugging skills

Responsabilités

• Lead firmware architecture and development for enterprise storage.
• Design, develop, and maintain firmware for enterprise HDD involving SAS/SATA, ZAC/ZBC.
• Define firmware architecture, software frameworks, and module interfaces for scalable storage solutions.
• Firmware/software development lifecycle including requirements, design, implementation, validation, and release.
• Implement algorithms and/or improve implementations and take part in their verification and production.
• Drive development of advanced storage features including: Middleware/FTL, Garbage Collection, Error Recovery, Power-Fail Management, Storage Protocol knowhow.
• Collaborate on future storage technologies and product roadmaps.
• Analyze and optimize firmware performance, latency, throughput, and resource utilization.
• Lead root cause analysis of field issues and customer escalations.
• Develop diagnostic, telemetry, and debug capabilities.
• Develop simulation architecture to validate new performance algorithms.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to firmware engineers.
• Participate in architecture reviews and technical decision-making.
• Engage with customers and field teams to understand requirements and resolve complex issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Firmware Architecture & Development
