Job summary

FIS invites applications for a C/C++ IST Switch Developer role based in Chennai or Bangalore. You will analyze, design, code, test, and support IST Switch, IST Clearing, MAS and related payments products within the Professional Services Team.

You will work with clients and product managers to define requirements, participate in design meetings, and help deliver robust software in a fast-paced financial services environment. Applicants should have 7+ years of experience in IT and payments domain.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant IT experience.
• 7+ years in software implementation, professional services, application consulting, system integration.
• Development and customization in IST Switch, IST Clearing, MAS or equivalent EFT switch.
• Experience gathering and analyzing client business requirements.
• Experience in ISO8583, EMV, Payments Domain.
• Experience in software testing, deployment, configuration, or client onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software enhancements and new products.
• Writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging.
• Completes documentation for installation and maintenance.
• Interacts with product managers to define system requirements and modifications.
• Participates in software design meetings and analyzes user needs.
• Writes technical specifications based on design and business requirements.
• Trains and communicates with internal teams on systems application.
• May manage project plans, budgets, and schedules.
• May deliver presentations to technical and business audiences.

About the team

We are Professional services Team, supporting FIS Payments Products like IST/Switch, IST/Clearing, FN, Data Navigator, MAS, Payments Monitor for the clients across various regions like Europe, Middle East, India, Asia Pacific, and North America.

What you will be doing

• Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked or Internet-related computer programs. (Code must be used in core version of applications available for sale commercially.)
• Writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications using current programming languages and technologies.
• Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
• Interacts with product managers and/or users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
• Participates in software design meetings and analyzes user needs to determine technical requirements.
• Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
• Trains and communicates with internal Client Training, Client Relationship and Sales teams on systems application.
• May be responsible for developing or executing project plans, budgets, and schedules and for documenting work and results.
• May deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business groups to internal and/or external audiences.
• Other related duties assigned as needed.

What you bring

Experience –

• Overall 7+ years of relevant IT experience.
• 7+ years of experience in software implementation, professional services, application consulting, system integration.
• Development and Customization exp in IST Switch, IST Clearing, MAS or equivalent EFT switch.
• Experience gathering and analyzing client business requirements.
• Experience in ISO8583, EMV, Payments Domain.
• Experience participating in software testing, deployment, configuration, or client onboarding activities.

Technical Skills

• C (Programming Language).
• C++ Programming Language.
• Oracle database, Structured Query Language (SQL).
• Unix OS and Shell Scripting
