Job summary

Aramya is launching handbags and seeks a seasoned Head of Procurement for Bags to own the vendor and sourcing engine end-to-end.

You will build the vendor base from scratch, negotiate terms, and ensure on-time, high-quality delivery as the category scales, managing multiple core vendors to avoid single-sourcing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience specifically in the bags category.
• Hands-on procurement, sourcing, and vendor management — end-to-end.
• Experience onboarding vendors for bags.
• Experience owning quality standards and inspection processes.
• Background from FDDI, NIFT, or a bags-focused pedigree.

Responsibilities

• Build the bag vendor base from scratch — identify, evaluate, and onboard factories/suppliers.
• Own full vendor lifecycle: sourcing, cost/MOQ/lead-time/terms negotiations, ongoing relationships.
• Maintain at least two vendors per core line to avoid single-sourcing.
• Run end-to-end sourcing from vendor discovery to first production run.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and timelines to hit cost and quality targets.
• Ensure on-time, on-quality delivery and hold vendors accountable.

You will build the vendor base end-to-end, negotiate terms, and ensure consistent, high-quality delivery as we scale this category from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

• Build the vendor base from scratch for bags — identifying, evaluating, and onboarding the right factories/suppliers
• Own the full vendor lifecycle: sourcing, negotiation on cost/MOQ/lead time/terms, and ongoing relationship management
• Hold at least two vendors for every core line so the category is never single-sourced
• Run the end-to-end sourcing process — from vendor discovery to first production run
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and timelines to hit cost and quality targets
