Job summary

EY in India (Kerala) is seeking Staff for Strategy and Transactions – Valuation, Modelling & Economics within the Business Valuations team. You will perform valuations for M&A, tax and financial reporting, and contribute to detailed financial modelling to support client needs.

The role requires strong English communication, sharp analytical skills, and a proactive, collaborative mindset to work with EY offices globally and stay ahead of market developments.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA/CFA/ACCA/CPA or MBA/MS in Finance.
• 1–3 years of valuation and financial modelling experience.
• Excellent spoken and written English; strong communication skills.
• Solid understanding of Corporate Finance, capital budgeting, and M&A.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Perform valuations for management planning, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), tax and financial reporting
• Contribute to report generation and detailed financial modelling
• Maintain positive, productive and professional relationships with client personnel and colleagues

To qualify for the role, you must have:

• Qualified CA/CFA/ACCA/CPA or Graduates in any discipline with Post-Graduation in MBA/MS in Finance
• 1 - 3 years relevant experience in valuation and financial modelling
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Thorough understanding of corporate finance, capital budgeting, mergers and acquisitions
• Strong analytical skills
• Knowledge of Accounting standards (IFRS)
• Advanced MS Excel Skills
• Good understanding of capital markets is preferred
• Strong Excel Knowledge with preferred experience in Macros
• Good interpersonal and client handling skills with the required aggression in a fast-paced competing environment.
• Outstanding organizational skills, flexibility and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Willingness to learn, proactivity, openness to work in a multicultural environment.
