Job summary

EY Global Delivery Services (GDS) invites a Senior in Valuation, Modelling & Economics to join the Business Valuations team. You will lead a VME group focusing on enterprise and asset valuations for MENA EY clients, managing client relationships and facilitating business development.

The role requires strong analytical skills, mentoring capabilities for up to three juniors, and the ability to work across onshore/offshore teams with travel up to 50% in the region.

Qualifications

• CA / ACCA / CFA or MBA – Finance with strong academic record.
• 4 to 8 years of related work experience.
• Experience with a Big-4 in similar role or with a leading investment/financial services firm is a must.
• Demonstrated aptitude in quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to new challenges in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong desire to continually develop themselves and others.
• Ability to manage engagements including the work of junior team members and quality of support.
• Ability to provide best practice guidance to team members to ensure the completion of work deliverables at the highest level of quality.
• Working knowledge in MS Excel with VBA skills and exposure to analytics tools including Spotfire, Tableau, Alteryx is preferred.
• General PC proficiency including Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of VME professionals on business valuations for MENA EY clients.
• Manage client relationships across the MENA region and support business development.
• Serve as the project lead contact between onshore and offshore teams.
• Mentor up to 3 junior members and support their career growth.
• Lead valuations and develop/review models for financial accounting, feasibility, and transactions.
• Stay updated on current business and economic developments relevant to the client.
• Demonstrate deep technical capabilities and professional knowledge.
• Adopt and apply new tools to improve service delivery.
• Collaborate with Strategy and Transactions teams and the wider firm.
• Travel up to 50% of the time within the region and to GDS locations as needed.

EY- Strategy and Transactions (SaT) – Valuation, Modelling & Economics (VME) – Business Valuations – Senior

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading a team of VME professionals focusing on business valuations competency who are engaged in performing enterprise and asset valuations for Middle East and North African (MENA) EY Clients.
• Managing client relationship with various user offices across MENA region and supporting team leads with business development initiatives of the firm.
• Liaising with the onshore team and capable of acting as a single point of contact in project execution and delivery.
• Being responsible for acting as a counsellor/mentor up to 3 team members and responsible for their career growth within the firm.
• Capability to take lead in performing valuations, develop and review valuation models for purposes including financial accounting and reporting purposes; feasibility study; corporate transactions.
• Stay abreast with current business and economic developments relevant to the client's business.
• Demonstrating in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge.
• Use current technology and tools to innovate and enhance the effectiveness of services provided and act as a leader in adopting new tools and techniques.
• Work in a highly regarded team, which values collaboration, respect and knowledge sharing.
• Work in close collaboration with other Strategy and Transaction teams and the wider firm.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

• CA / ACCA / CFA or MBA – Finance (preferably from a premier institute) with a good academic background (in the order of highest qualification preference)
• 4 to 8 years of related work experience
• Experience with a Big-4 in similar role or with an industry leading venture capital, investment bank, commercial bank, or a national accounting firm is a must
• Demonstrated aptitude in quantitative and qualitative analysis
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
• A strong work ethic and the ability to adapt to new challenges in a collaborative team environment
• A strong desire to continually develop themselves and others
• Ability to successfully manage engagements including the work of junior team members and quality of support

We would expect you to be available to travel outside of your assigned office location at least 50% of the time, plus commute within the region to other GDS locations on a short or long-term basis, whenever required.
