• Develop go-to-market strategy and launch oleochemicals business from inception.
• Drive product portfolio across fatty acids, fatty alcohols, glycerine, and derivatives.
• Build domestic and international sales, channels, and key accounts.
• Establish supplier networks and partner contracts for cost-competitive supply chains.
• Lead pricing, cost modelling, and margin management.
• Forge strategic partnerships with manufacturers and distributors.

Role Overview

Scimplify is looking for an entrepreneurial Business Head – Oleochemicals to build the business from the ground up, with end-to-end ownership of strategy, product portfolio development, sourcing, manufacturing partnerships, and sales across domestic and international markets. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical and commercial expertise in oleochemicals, along with the ability to identify market opportunities, establish supply chains, acquire customers, and build a profitable business.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Building: Develop the go-to-market strategy, identify target segments, define product portfolios, and establish the oleochemicals business from inception.
• Technical & Product Expertise: Drive product selection and portfolio development across fatty acids, fatty alcohols, glycerine, methyl esters, oleochemical derivatives, and specialty oleochemicals.
• Domestic & International Sales: Build customer relationships, develop distribution channels, acquire strategic accounts, and drive exports and global market expansion.
• Sourcing & Manufacturing: Establish supplier networks, identify manufacturing and contract manufacturing partners, evaluate production capabilities, and develop cost-competitive supply chains.
• Commercial & P&L Ownership: Lead pricing, cost modelling, margin management, business planning, revenue generation, and overall profitability.
• Strategic Partnerships: Build relationships with manufacturers, raw material suppliers, distributors, and global customers to establish a scalable business.
• Team Building: Develop the business team, processes, and operating model required to scale the vertical.

Desired candidate profile

• 10+ years of relevant experience in oleochemicals, fatty acids, fatty alcohols, or oleochemical derivatives.
• Strong technical understanding of product chemistry, manufacturing processes, applications, specifications, and market dynamics.
• Proven track record in business development, customer acquisition, sourcing, and commercial negotiations.
• Experience in both domestic and international markets, including exports and global customer development.
• Demonstrated ability to establish new business lines, develop supplier ecosystems, and scale revenue from an early stage.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in P&L ownership, pricing, and margin management.
