Job summary

RPMGlobal in Gurugram, India is seeking a Business Systems Manager - Workday to lead end-to-end Workday Financials delivery on a 6-month contract. You will partner with Finance Leadership to drive upgrades, new modules, and integrations, while balancing governance with agile delivery across global operations.

You will configure Workday, troubleshoot complex issues, oversee data flows with P2P, Payroll, Tax, and Billing, and mentor a team of system analysts to ensure seamless financial operations

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in financial systems analysis and ERP implementations.
• Deep hands-on proficiency in Workday Financials (Core Financials, Expenses, Assets, Revenue).
• Experience delivering enterprise-level Workday projects with upgrades and new modules.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, SOX controls, and financial data governance.

Our client, a leading SaaS company, is seeking a Business Systems Manager - Workday.

Role Overview

As a Business Systems Manager - Financial Applications (Workday), you will serve as a key technical execution lead and hands-on domain specialist for enterprise financial systems. Partnering closely with Finance Applications Leadership, you will drive the end-to-end delivery of complex Workday Financials projects, module enhancements, and ecosystem integrations.

Operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, you will balance rigorous system governance with agile delivery, translating strategic priorities into scalable configurations, mentoring system analysts, and maintaining seamless financial operations across global entities.

Key Responsibilities

Program Delivery & Execution

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of high-impact Workday Financials initiatives (major upgrades, new module rollouts, entity expansions, and process redesigns).
• Translate roadmap objectives set by leadership into clear project plans, milestones, technical specifications, and sprint deliverables.

Hands-on Domain Expertise

• Serve as a technical and functional specialist on Workday Financials, performing complex configurations, troubleshooting escalated issues, and evaluating system capabilities.
• Partner with Finance, Accounting, and Tax teams to analyze operational pain points and build robust, automated system solutions.

Agility & Change Management

• Rapidly adapt to shifting business priorities, market expansions, and statutory changes while maintaining project momentum.
• Facilitate smooth transitions for end users through structured user acceptance testing (UAT), release management, and clear enablement documentation.

Cross-System Integrations

• Coordinate and oversee data flows between Workday Financials and connected platforms (P2P, Payroll, Banking/Treasury, Travel, Tax, and Billing).
• Support the technical design and optimization of end-to-end Quote-to-Cash (Q2C) pipelines, subscription and usage billing workflows, and revenue accounting operations.
• Partner with integration engineers and vendors to ensure reliable, auditable integrations (EIBs, APIs, and SFTP pipelines).

Governance, Compliance & Data Security

• Enforce strict change management, SOX compliance, and internal ticketing standards for all system modifications.
• Maintain data integrity and security across financial data models and business processes.

Advanced Reporting & Analytics

• Design and maintain advanced reports, custom dashboards, and complex calculated fields to empower financial reporting and operational decision-making.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in financial systems analysis, enterprise ERP implementations, and technical project/program delivery.
• Workday Mastery: Deep hands-on proficiency in Workday Financials (Core Financial Accounting, Business Processes, Expenses, Business Assets, Revenue, and Advanced Reporting/Calculated Fields).
• Adaptability & High-Pace Delivery: Proven track record of thriving in high-growth, rapidly evolving environments, with the ability to manage ambiguity, reprioritize quickly, and deliver under tight timelines.
• Finance & Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of core accounting principles, General Ledger (GL) structures, U.S. GAAP, IFRS, internal controls, and SOX frameworks.
• Project Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-level implementation cycles, upgrades, and structured testing phases (Unit Testing, E2E, and UAT).
• Collaboration & Influence: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to bridge technical requirements with business stakeholder expectations.

Preferred / Advantageous Qualifications

• Procure-to-Pay (Coupa): Direct experience integrating or configuring Coupa with Workday (e.g., Chart of Accounts, PO lifecycle management, and SIM integrations).
• Familiarity with Client (Connected Planning, financial modeling, and data synchronization with Workday).
• Direct experience with Coupa (P2P, Chart of Accounts segregation, PO lifecycle management, and automated invoicing).
• Global Payroll Integrations: Experience architecting or managing global payroll integrations (e.g., UKG OneView and ADP).
