Job summary

Hevo, a Bengaluru-based data pipeline platform, seeks a Business Systems Engineer to partner with Sales, Marketing, RevOps, and Finance. You will translate business problems into automated tooling, build internal apps, integrations, and data workflows, and own the solution from conception to launch.

You will decide when to write custom software versus using existing tools, and apply AI-powered approaches to accelerate delivery using agents like Claude Code or Codex.

Qualifications

• Must-have skills: Claude Code, Codex or similar coding agents.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar languages.
• SQL and databases knowledge.
• Git and standard development workflows.
• LLM APIs and agent frameworks.

About this Role

Business Systems Engineers build internal tools and systems that help teams work better.

They work across functions such as Sales, Marketing, RevOps, Customer Success, Finance, and the Founders' Office. The role involves understanding a business problem, deciding the right technical approach, building the solution, and owning it after launch.

The solution could be custom software, an integration, an automation, a data workflow, or an AI-powered tool.

Responsibilities
