Deutsche Bank AG in Pune, India, seeks a Business Functional Analyst to design end-to-end business solutions within complex programs.

You will translate requirements into functional specs, analyze impacts of changes, and align with project teams to deliver actionable roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of proven experience in business analysis, process improvement, change management, or consulting support roles within financial services.
• Experience managing sub-projects and familiarity with BA tools and methodologies.
• Basic understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies; PMP/PgMP or Agile certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identifying the full range of business requirements and translating requirements into functional specifications for solution development and implementation.
• Analyzing business requirements and the impacts of changes.
• Designing and assisting in developing optimal target state business processes.
• Creating and executing roadmaps focused on solution development and implementation.

Your key responsibilities

Business Functional Analysis is responsible for business solution design as a whole in complex project environments (e.g. transformational programs). Work includes:

• Identifying the full range of business requirements and translating requirements into specific functional specifications for solution development and implementation.
• Analyzing business requirements and the associated impacts of the changes.
• Designing and assisting businesses in developing optimal target state business processes.
• Creating and executing against roadmaps that focus on solution development and implementation.
• Answering questions of methodological approach with varying levels of complexity.
• Aligning with other key stakeholder groups (such as Project Management & Software Engineering) to support the link between the business divisions and the solution providers for all aspects of identifying, implementing and maintaining solutions.

Your skills and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, PMP, Agile) are a plus.
• 1-3 years of proven experience in business analysis, process improvement, change management, or consulting support roles within the financial services industry.
• Successful management of (sub‑)projects.
• Basic knowledge of business analysis tools.
• Basic understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies; PMP, PgMP, or Agile certifications are a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, prioritize tasks, and make data‑driven decisions.
• Business-fluent English (written and spoken). Business-fluent German (written and spoken) is a plus.

Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
