This analyst/associate role is within the Global Markets US Sales CAO – Business Management team based in Powai, Mumbai. The incumbent partners with Business Heads and Senior Management across Sales, Trading, Structuring, and Research to drive key business initiatives focused on client franchise growth, revenue expansion, and overall business positioning.

Position Specifications
Corporate Title: Analyst/Associate
Experience: 2–6 years relevant experience
Qualification: MBA (Finance) from Tier 1 B‑school, CA, or Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in business/finance/economics from a top‑tier university
Timing: EMEA (to ensure sufficient overlap with US NY time)
Role & Responsibilities
- Dynamic individual to join the fast‑paced Global Markets US Sales CAO – Business Management team in Powai, Mumbai.
- Partner with Business Heads and Senior Management across Sales, Trading, Structuring and Research to drive key business initiatives focusing on client franchise growth, long‑term business expansion, and overall business positioning.
- Play a key role in liaising with Sales Heads and Sales teams to formulate client strategy, wallet‑sizing and revenue‑pool trends for the US Global Markets business.
- Assume day‑to‑day responsibilities contributing to business management, performance monitoring, and managing infrastructure/processes supporting US GM Sales.
- Provide wide exposure to Equities and Fixed‑Income Markets for institutional clients.
- Work with Global Market – Sales, Trading, Structuring, and Research and all GM Corporate functions – Compliance, Treasury, Legal, Finance, Middle Office, IT and Product Control.
- Potential travel to the US for short periods to work with regional COOs on key strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Business Analysis & Management Presentations
- Independently drive strategic initiatives with Sales/Product Desk Heads using data‑backed actionable insights focusing on revenue trends, product & segment penetration, wallet‑share analysis, hit‑miss analysis, client onboarding analysis, etc.
- Strategic assessment of outperforming/underperforming businesses using client analytics and market/business dynamics to suggest recommendations for business heads.
- Prepare management presentations summarizing revenue, expenses, resource consumption and other reporting metrics.
- Prepare presentations for senior management board meetings, investor day, off‑sites, town halls.
- Participate in annual sales budgeting exercise for the regional and global business by performing historical revenue analysis and bottom‑up revenue forecasting.
- Prepare periodic business summaries covering financial metrics and business commentary for senior management.
- Stakeholder Management
- Proactive in working with regional COOs and Business Heads.
- Crisp and concise communication with all stakeholders.
- Strong sense of ownership and dedication toward timely deliverables.
- Owning and Driving Key Business Initiatives
- Setup appropriate infrastructure and support systems to monitor progress.
- Coordinate with various corporate functions to ensure seamless execution.
- Partnering with Technology, Operations, Finance, and Other Corporate Functions
- Own day‑to‑day issues pertaining to various corporate functions and ensure closure.
- Control and Conduct
- Own audit points and business continuity management (BCM) plan for the unit.
- Expense approval, tracking and expense management.
Skill Set
Domain
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in building strong relationships with key stakeholders at senior levels.
- Strong analytical and story‑building skills.
- Good knowledge of capital market products and asset classes (Fixed Income, Equities, Forex, Derivatives).
- Proficient in MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word and other Office applications.
- Entrepreneurial and independent; self‑starter, takes ownership, exhibits integrity, strong motivation and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize high volumes of deliverables across multiple disciplines working under pressure.
- Ambition and enthusiasm to succeed in this challenging role.
- Prior experience driving initiatives in the Global Markets space, experience of working on cross‑functional projects.
- Prior experience in strategy roles would be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of business intelligence tools like Power BI, Tableau, etc., would be an added advantage.
Additional Skills
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R) is desirable.
- Experience with multi‑scenario financial modeling.
