Job summary

Hackajob is hiring a BI Developer - Analyst in Bengaluru to define, refine and deliver goals for the Transformation and Analytics Team. You will design Analytics DataMarts and reporting environments, focus on data modelling for the AWM LOB, and support MIS with BI tools including ThoughtSpot, Databricks and Tableau.

You will develop, deploy and maintain GenAI-based solutions while coordinating with product owners and technology teams to establish a robust analytics environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in MIS/CS/Engineering or equivalent BI development experience.
• 2+ years in data engineering and visualization with strong DW/BI foundation.
• Proficient in Python (PySpark/PySQL) and SQL; end-to-end ETL pipelines across SQL/Databricks/Snowflake.
• Experience delivering BI dashboards/reports and awareness of GenAI prompt/context engineering.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As BI Developer - Analyst in our Transformation and Analytics Team, you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm.

Job Responsibilities:

• Designs the technical and information architecture for the Analytics DataMart's and Reporting Environments
• Focuses on data modelling and database design for the AWM LOB
• Support the MIS team in query optimization and deployment of BI technologies including but not limited to ThoughtSpot, Databricks, Tableau.
• Develop, deploy, and maintain GenAI-based solutions.
• Scope, prioritize and co‑ordinate activities with the product owners. Partner with technology teams to identify solutions required to establish a robust Analytics and Transformation environment.
• Design and develop complex queries which cater to data inputs for dashboards/reports from large data sets.
• Work on agile improvements by sharing experiences and knowledge with the team. Advocate and steer the team to implement CI/CD (Devops) workflow.
• Overall, the ideal candidate for this position will be highly skilled in reporting methodologies, data manipulation & analytics tools and have expertise in the visualization and presentation of enterprise data.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

• Bachelors in MIS/CS/Engineering (or equivalent BI development experience) with 2+ years in data engineering and visualization; strong DW/BI foundation.
• Strong Python (PySpark/PySQL) and SQL skills, with experience building end-to-end ETL/data pipelines across MS SQL Server, Snowflake, Databricks, and cloud analytics.
• Proven ability to handle large, multi-source datasets and deliver scalable database architecture plus end-to-end BI dashboards/reports.
• Exposure to GenAI prompt/context engineering frameworks; strong communication and analytical skills.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

• Exposure to data science is an added advantage

Working knowledge on CI/CD workflows and automated deployment. Experience on scheduling tools like Control M.
