Job summary

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Bengaluru seeks a finance professional to partner with cross-functional teams, develop and implement finance processes, and drive profitability through analytics and strategic cost initiatives.

The role emphasizes revenue governance, deal P&L oversight, and ensuring timely invoicing and cash collection to meet forecasts. Minimum 5 years in Engineering/IT/ITES with relevant degrees is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years of relevant industry experience in Engineering, IT or ITES.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams - finance, legal, delivery and sales.
• Develop finance processes and strategies to align with business operations and corporate finance objectives.
• Provide analytics for month/quarter end, budgeting vs. forecasting, and publish performance reports to drive profitability.
• Participate in client solution workshops, prepare and present financials during customer presentations.
• Ensure revenue recognition aligns with contractual terms and monitor deal P&L to support growth.
• Drive margin governance through cost take-out initiatives and sustainable improvements.
• Oversee working capital governance including unbilled reduction, invoicing, collection and debt aging.

Role & responsibilities

• Working with cross-functional teams - finance, legal, delivery and sales team.
• Developing finance processes and strategies to support a strategic alignment with Business operations and corporate finance function on organizations goals & initiatives.
• Analytics for the month and quarter end financial, performance tracking, Budgeting Vs. Forecasting, publishing operational performance by building reporting framework leveraging analytics team and driving best practices to ensure profitability.
• Responsible for customer pricing submissions and related commercial terms and conditions response. Participate in client solution workshops, prepare and present financials during customer presentations.
• Revenue governance by ensuring accurate revenue recognition aligned with the contractual T&Cs, reviewing deal PNL, tracking them for closure to enable growth and meet forecast
• Margin governance through cost take out initiatives which are systemic and sustainable
• Working capital governance which will include unbilled reduction, timely invoicing, and collection, improving debt ageing and PDD.
• Understand client financials, credit, spend information etc. to develop and justify business case analysis and onboard them
• Strong communication, can do attitude and proactive behavior will be key to succeed

Preferred candidate profile

• Qualification: B.E/B. Tech & MBA / CA (Mandatory)
• Should have relevant industry experience of min 5 yrs, i.e. Engineering, IT or ITES(Mandatory)
