Job summary

Capco, a global technology and management consulting firm, is seeking a Data Analyst to join our banking data practice in India. You will conduct gap analyses across multiple source systems, build automated reporting using Python and SQL, and present findings to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities include data extraction, transformation, and creating dashboards with Power BI, while coordinating with upstream and downstream teams to ensure accurate logic and timely delivery.

Role Summary

Data Analysis & Gap Analysis

• Conduct detailed gap analyses of trading data from various source systems
• Identify discrepancies and analyze data attributes between multiple systems
• Develop and maintain automated gap reporting using Python and SQL

Python Development & Automation

• Build and maintain Python scripts for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
• Present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders

Project Management Tasks

• Meet with stakeholders from upstream and downstream systems to ascertain logic to be implemented where required, and record notes of meetings to PMO standards

Technical Skills

• Python Programming: Advanced proficiency in Python with experience in pandas
• Database Management: Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation
• Data Visualization: Experience with Power BI, or Python visualization libraries

Banking & Finance Knowledge

• 3-5 years of experience in banking data analysis and problem solving
• Understanding of collateral management principles and regulatory requirements beneficial

Analytical Skills

• Strong problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail
• Experience conducting gap analyses and process improvement initiatives
• Ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights
• Project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
