Smith Nephew is seeking a Business Continuity Analyst to implement and supervise BCM programs across sites in the Pune, India region. You will work with cross-functional teams to develop plans, perform BIAs and risk assessments, and support crisis management activities.
You will also assist with the emergency notification system Everbridge, ensure alignment with BCM standards (BCI/DRII/ISO-22301), and contribute to governance and reporting for BCM programs.
Role & responsibilities :-
This role is responsible for assisting in the implementing the global Business Continuity Programs strategies and processes across S+N sites and business units to ensure a site or function can recover quickly and effectively from business interrupting incidents. The Business Continuity Analyst will work directly with business teams to provide BCM professional practices including, but not limited to BC Education and Awareness; Business Impact Analyses (BIA); Risk Assessments; BC Plan development; Crisis Management support; Training & Exercise support; program maintenance; etc.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver Business Continuity & Resiliency SME consultative and customer service to global matrix business teams (75%):
- Assist with the training, configuration, implementation and maintenance of S+Ns Emergency Notification System (Everbridge) to authorized administrators globally. (10%)
- Assist in the development, review, and enhancement of BC program policies, processes, guidelines, and tools. (5%)
- Assist with compiling program governance and management reports for the BCM Steering Committee, Operations Leadership, Crisis Management Team, Audit, etc. (5%)
- Collaborate with various S+N supporting teams on various integrated programs, projects and initiatives (i.e., Disaster Recovery (DR), Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE), Supply Chain (SC), Facilities, Communications, etc.). (5%)
- Support local sites and business teams during significant incidents/crises of various size and scale of impact (i.e., weather related incidents, conflicts/war, cyber-attacks, social unrest, pandemics, etc.), in accordance with the Crisis Management Team process. (as needed)
Location: Pune, India
Licenses/ Certifications: Business Continuity Certification either CBCP or CBCI; will consider ABCP or AMBCI level with the intent of certification upgrade to CBCI or CBCP within the first year of employment.
Experience: 5 plus years combined experience in executing business continuity planning, disaster recovery, crisis management, emergency management, or risk management.
Competencies:
The ideal candidate will possess proven proficient skills in the areas of:
- Delivering consultative and customer service to global matrix business teams
- Knowledge of BCM, Disaster Recovery (DR) and or Risk Management frameworks and professional practices (i.e., BCI, DRII, ISO-22301)
- Data analysis to assess continuity risks across functions and sites
- Working collaboratively on BC-related initiatives with internal and external supporting partners including vendors and suppliers
- Project planning support/management; task prioritization and meeting project deliverable dates on schedule and on budget
- Written/verbal communications and presentation capabilities to effectively collaborate confidently as a BC SME with our globally diverse function/site leaders, including our BC program governance teams
- Independent execution of initiatives upon managements strategic direction and guidance
- Possessing a crisis support mindset to remain calm, logical, flexible, and empathetic when supporting business interrupting incidents while also supporting S+N’s core values of Care, Courage, and Collaboration
- Development, configuration, and implementation of BC process tools and templates including BC planning software systems
- Experience with emergency notification systems (i.e., Everbridge)
