EPAM Systems, Inc. seeks a seasoned Camunda Architect to own the target Camunda 8 solution architecture for enterprise processes in Pune. You will enforce engineering standards and drive complex migrations across multiple process tiers.
Lead cross-functional teams, coordinate with vendors, validate REST API integrations, and contribute to runbooks and knowledge transfer. Strong BPMN/DMN expertise and OIDC integration experience are required. Based in Pune, on-site role.
Define and own the target Camunda 8 solution architecture for in-scope processes aligned to the Logical Data Model and ABAC/PBAC access control model Establish and enforce Camunda engineering standards, quality metrics, and best practices across the Development POD Lead complexity-tiered migration execution across low, medium, and high complexity processes Design and validate the parallel-run and cutover strategy per process including routing, shared integration, and decommission triggers Coordinate with the third-party vendor responsible for Camunda platform and infrastructure setup to align platform-layer and application-layer design Validate integration points with existing REST APIs via the Integration Layer in coordination with the API team Own the reference data migration approach for process definitions, DMN tables, forms, business dictionaries, and lookup tables Resolve cross-team technical dependencies between the Development POD, Solution Architecture, and the Service Store Support UAT technical validation and defect resolution and contribute to documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer to BPM Admins and IT Operations Contribute to backlog sizing and complexity assessment using defined criteria
Extensive professional experience delivering enterprise software and platform solutions Hands-on experience with Camunda 8 (Zeebe, Operate, Tasklist, Connectors) in enterprise environments Demonstrated team management ability leading technical delivery and cross-functional teams Proven architecture leadership in defining target solution architectures for BPM platforms Expert-level knowledge of BPMN 2.0, DMN/FEEL, and Camunda Forms Solid understanding of Camunda deployment architecture (Orchestration Cluster, HA/Raft consensus, PostgreSQL secondary storage) Hands-on experience integrating OIDC-based identity providers in Camunda contexts (for example Microsoft Entra ID or Okta) Strong experience migrating legacy BPM platforms to Camunda using strangler or parallel-run cutover patterns Good knowledge of REST-based integration architectures and API-first collaboration models Strong stakeholder communication skills to lead technical discussions with client architecture boards Nice to have TIBCO migration experience
