EPAM Systems is seeking a Business Consultant to lead the Camunda 8 target architecture and steer migration delivery for in-scope processes. You will coordinate with client teams and a third-party platform vendor to align standards, cutover strategy, and cross-team delivery.

Responsibilities include defining the target Camunda 8 solution, setting engineering standards, leading migration across complexity tiers, and ensuring robust API and data migration strategies.

Job description

We are hiring a Business Consultant to lead the Camunda 8 target architecture and steer migration delivery for the processes in scope. You will work side by side with client teams and a third-party platform vendor to coordinate standards, cutover strategy, and cross-team delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own and define the target Camunda 8 solution architecture for in-scope processes aligned to the Logical Data Model and ABAC/PBAC access control model
• Set and uphold Camunda engineering standards, quality metrics, and best practices across the Development POD
• Lead migration execution across low, medium, and high complexity processes using the defined complexity tiers
• Create and validate the per-process parallel-run and cutover strategy including routing, shared integration, and decommission triggers
• Align with the third-party vendor responsible for Camunda platform and infrastructure setup on platform-layer and application-layer design
• Validate Integration Layer connectivity to existing REST APIs in close coordination with the API team
• Lead the reference data migration approach for process definitions, DMN tables, forms, business dictionaries, and lookup tables
• Unblock cross-team technical dependencies between the Development POD, Solution Architecture, and the Service Store
• Assist UAT technical validation and defect resolution and contribute to documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer to BPM Admins and IT Operations
• Support backlog sizing and complexity assessment using defined criteria

Requirements

• Broad experience delivering enterprise software and platform solutions in complex organizations
• Practical Camunda 8 experience with Zeebe, Operate, Tasklist, and Connectors in enterprise contexts
• Demonstrated team management skills leading technical delivery and cross-functional teams
• Track record of architecture leadership defining target solution architectures for BPM platforms
• Deep understanding of BPMN 2.0, DMN/FEEL, and Camunda Forms
• Working knowledge of Camunda deployment architecture (Orchestration Cluster, HA/Raft consensus, PostgreSQL secondary storage)
• Hands-on integration experience with OIDC-based identity providers in Camunda contexts (for example Microsoft Entra ID or Okta)
• Proven experience migrating legacy BPM platforms to Camunda using strangler or parallel-run cutover patterns
• Solid knowledge of REST-based integration architectures and API-first collaboration models
• Strong stakeholder communication skills to facilitate technical discussions with client architecture boards
