Responsibilities

• Define and own the target Camunda 8 solution architecture for in-scope processes.
• Set and enforce Camunda engineering standards, quality metrics, and best practices.
• Deliver complexity-tiered migration execution across low, medium, and high complexity processes.
• Specify and validate the parallel-run and cutover strategy per process.
• Coordinate with the third-party vendor responsible for Camunda platform and infrastructure setup.
• Validate integration points with existing REST APIs via the Integration Layer with the API team.
• Own the reference data migration approach for process definitions, DMN tables, forms, and lookup tables.
• Manage cross-team technical dependencies and contribute to runbooks and knowledge transfer to BPM Admins and IT Operations.
• Contribute to backlog sizing and complexity assessment using defined criteria.

Job description

We are seeking a Business Consultant to lead Camunda 8 architecture decisions and steer migration execution for selected processes. You will work side by side with client teams and a third-party platform vendor to align engineering standards, integration approach, and cutover readiness.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the target Camunda 8 solution architecture for in-scope processes aligned to the Logical Data Model and ABAC/PBAC access control model
• Set and enforce Camunda engineering standards, quality metrics, and best practices across the Development POD
• Deliver complexity-tiered migration execution across low, medium, and high complexity processes
• Specify and validate the parallel-run and cutover strategy per process including routing, shared integration, and decommission triggers
• Coordinate with the third-party vendor responsible for Camunda platform and infrastructure setup to align platform-layer and application-layer design
• Validate integration points with existing REST APIs via the Integration Layer in coordination with the API team
• Own the reference data migration approach for process definitions, DMN tables, forms, business dictionaries, and lookup tables
• Manage cross-team technical dependencies between the Development POD, Solution Architecture, and the Service Store Support UAT technical validation and defect resolution and contribute to documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer to BPM Admins and IT Operations
• Contribute to backlog sizing and complexity assessment using defined criteria

Requirements

• Significant experience delivering enterprise software and platform solutions
• Hands-on background with Camunda 8 (Zeebe, Operate, Tasklist, Connectors) within enterprise environments
• People leadership experience managing technical delivery and cross-functional teams
• Solution architecture leadership defining target BPM platform architectures
• Expertise in BPMN 2.0, DMN/FEEL, and Camunda Forms
• Understanding of Camunda deployment architecture (Orchestration Cluster, HA/Raft consensus, PostgreSQL secondary storage)
• Experience integrating OIDC-based identity providers in Camunda contexts (for example Microsoft Entra ID or Okta)
• Experience migrating legacy BPM platforms to Camunda using strangler or parallel-run cutover patterns
• Knowledge of REST-based integration architectures and API-first collaboration modelsAbility to communicate with and guide client architecture boards through technical decisions
• Nice to have TIBCO migration experience
