Job summary

Angel One is hiring a Business Associate - Lending to own the lifecycle of a scalable digital lending platform. You will translate lending strategies into technical and business requirements, focusing on optimized platform partnerships.

You will groom the Jira backlog, collaborate on risk analytics, map paperless borrower journeys, and draft REST API specifications with credit bureaus and KYC providers, while leveraging SQL for insights and improvements.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of BA or Product Analyst experience in a FinTech startup, digital lending platform, or neo-bank.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON structures, Webhooks, and basic SQL queries.

Responsibilities

• Own the Jira-backed platform backlog grooming, prioritization, and management for cross-functional squads.
• Collaborate with Risk Analytics to translate credit scorecards, fraud rules, and automated decisioning logic into scalable configurations.
• Map and optimize paperless borrower journeys for instant onboarding and reduced drop-offs.
• Write detailed functional specifications for REST API integrations with credit bureaus, KYC/AML providers, fraud engines, and payment rails.
• Use SQL to analyze funnel drop-offs, loan performance, and system exceptions for enhancements.
• Handle partner payouts and lifecycles of release and credits into P&L with governance.

Business Associate - Lending

What you will do

The Business Associate (FinTech Lending) will own the business lifecycle of high-throughput digital lending platform. You will translate complex consumer lending strategies into highly scalable technical & business requirements. Your primary focus will be optimizing our automated platform partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

• Platform Product Backlog: Own the grooming, prioritization, and management of the technical product backlog in Jira for cross-functional product & engineering squads.
• Credit Automation & Rule Engine: Collaborate with Risk Analytics to translate credit scorecards, fraud rules, and automated decisioning logic into scalable system configurations.
• End-to-End Journey Optimization: Map and streamline entirely paperless borrower journeys, focusing on instant onboarding, drop-off reduction, and friction-free user experiences.
• API Ecosystem Orchestration: Write detailed functional specifications for REST API integrations with credit bureaus, identity verification providers (KYC/AML), fraud engines, and payment rails.
• Data-Driven Insights: Utilize SQL to analyze funnel drop-offs, loan performance data, and system exceptions to continuously propose platform enhancements.
• Partner business hygiene: Computation of the payouts for partners and maintaining lifecycles of release and credits into P & L for the business with SLA adherence and maintaining right governance practices
• Management reporting of the data and required strategy documents

Who you are

• FinTech Expertise: 2-3 years of experience as a BA or Product Analyst within a FinTech startup, Digital Lending platform, or Neo-bank.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON structures, Webhooks, and basic SQL queries & tableau dashboard management
• Lending Domain: Deep operational knowledge of digital retail lending cycles, including automated underwriting, loan servicing, interest calculation engine logic, and collections.
