Job summary

Purview Services in Mumbai is seeking a senior security program lead to manage Akamai WAF deployments for external web applications. You will build and mentor delivery teams, drive end-to-end project delivery, and align KPIs with client expectations.

The role requires 6-8 years in cybersecurity focusing on web application security, hands-on Akamai WAF configuration, and strong communication with engineering and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Team Building: Build & manage delivery teams for Cyber security including Web Application Firewall initiatives.
• Project Delivery: Drive program level initiatives and define success KPIs for deliverables.
• Akamai WAF Implementation: Lead deployment and configuration for external facing web apps.
• Security Analysis: Conduct regular security assessments and risk analysis for WAF configurations.
• Incident Response: Collaborate with security operations to respond to incidents.
• Stakeholder Communication: Coordinate with program, engineering and capability teams and stakeholders.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on security trends and Akamai product updates.
• Delivery life cycle: Ensure end-to-end delivery of Akamai WAF deployments on applications.
• Reporting: Regular stakeholder reporting on deliveries, KPIs and upcoming tasks.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Team Building:
  
  
  
  • Build & manage the delivery teams of Cyber security including Business Analysts, WAF Engineers, F5 Engineers.
  
  
  • Mentor & train the resources within team to ensure the competency building with the team.
  
  
  
  


• Project Delivery: Driving the program level initiatives, requirement gathering & defining success KPIs for Deliverables.


• Akamai WAF Implementation: Lead the deployment and configuration of Akamai WAF solutions for external facing web applications.


• Security Analysis: Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability testing, and risk analysis to ensure the effectiveness of WAF configurations.


• Incident Response: Collaborate with the security operations team to respond to and mitigate web application security incidents.


• Stakeholder Communication: Work closely with Program team, Engineering team & capability teams with managing active communications with all stakeholders.


• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest security trends and Akamai product updates to continuously enhance client web application security posture.


• Delivery life cycle: Ensure the time bound delivery success with driving the end to end life cycle of Akamai Web application Firewall deployment on applications.


• Reporting: Regular reporting to stakeholders on the team Deliveries, KPI & upcoming tasks forecasting.

Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.


• Experience: Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on web application security and WAF technologies.


• Technical Skills:
  
  
  
  • Proficiency in Akamai WAF configuration and management.
  
  
  • Strong understanding of web technologies, including HTTP/HTTPS, HTML, JavaScript, and web application frameworks.
  
  
  • Experience with security assessment tools and methodologies.
  
  
  • Knowledge of common web application vulnerabilities and OWASP Top 10.
  
  
  
  


• Certifications: Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Akamai certifications are a plus.


• Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.


• Project Lead Skills: Sprint planning, hosting retrospectives, managing Jira boards & resource task assignments.

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all WAF implementations comply with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.


• Project Management: Experience in managing security projects, including timelines, resources, and deliverables.
