Job summary

Purview Services in Lucknow, India is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Delivery Lead to drive Akamai WAF deployment and secure web applications. You will lead delivery teams, gather requirements, define success KPIs, and ensure end-to-end lifecycle of WAF projects.

The ideal candidate has 6–8 years in cybersecurity with hands-on Akamai WAF, strong web tech knowledge, vulnerability assessments, incident response, and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Educational background in CS or information security.
• 6-8 years of cybersecurity experience with web apps and WAF.
• Hands-on Akamai WAF configuration and management.
• Certifications like CISSP/CEH are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build & manage delivery teams for cyber security projects.
• Drive program-level initiatives, gather requirements, define KPIs.
• Lead Akamai WAF deployment and configurations for web apps.
• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability testing, risk analysis.
• Coordinate incident response with security operations.
• Communicate with stakeholders and manage delivery reporting.
• Stay updated on security trends and Akamai updates.
• Ensure end-to-end delivery lifecycle of Akamai deployments.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Team Building:
  
  
  
  • Build & manage the delivery teams of Cyber security including Business Analysts, WAF Engineers, F5 Engineers.
  
  
  • Mentor & train the resources within team to ensure the competency building with the team.
  
  
  
  


• Project Delivery: Driving the program level initiatives, requirement gathering & defining success KPIs for Deliverables.


• Akamai WAF Implementation: Lead the deployment and configuration of Akamai WAF solutions for external facing web applications.


• Security Analysis: Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability testing, and risk analysis to ensure the effectiveness of WAF configurations.


• Incident Response: Collaborate with the security operations team to respond to and mitigate web application security incidents.


• Stakeholder Communication: Work closely with Program team, Engineering team & capability teams with managing active communications with all stakeholders.


• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest security trends and Akamai product updates to continuously enhance client web application security posture.


• Delivery life cycle: Ensure the time bound delivery success with driving the end to end life cycle of Akamai Web application Firewall deployment on applications.


• Reporting: Regular reporting to stakeholders on the team Deliveries, KPI & upcoming tasks forecasting.

Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.


• Experience: Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on web application security and WAF technologies.

  • Proficiency in Akamai WAF configuration and management.
  
  
  • Strong understanding of web technologies, including HTTP/HTTPS, HTML, JavaScript, and web application frameworks.
  
  
  • Experience with security assessment tools and methodologies.
  
  
  • Knowledge of common web application vulnerabilities and OWASP Top 10.
  
  
  
  


• Certifications: Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Akamai certifications are a plus.


• Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.


• Project Lead Skills: Sprint planning, hosting retrospectives, managing Jira boards & resource task assignments.

Additional Requirements:

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all WAF implementations comply with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.


• Project Management: Experience in managing security projects, including timelines, resources, and deliverables.
