The BA will define product features, support UAT, and ensure successful implementation of healthcare IT systems such as HIS, EMR/EHR, LIMS, PACS, and related clinical platforms.

Responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders and clinicians.
• Analyze workflows and align requirements with healthcare IT systems (HIS, EMR/EHR, LIMS, PACS).
• Prepare BRDs, FSs, and User Stories with traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support UAT by creating test cases and validating requirements with clients.
• Suggest process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance adoption and efficiency.

Role Overview:

The Business Analyst (BA) will act as the bridge between business stakeholders, healthcare clients, and the technical team. The role involves gathering, analyzing, and documenting requirements, ensuring solutions align with healthcare workflows, compliance standards, and business goals. The BA will play a critical role in defining product features, supporting UAT, and ensuring successful implementation of healthcare IT solutions such as HIS, EMR/EHR, LIMS, PACS, and other clinical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Requirement Gathering & Analysis

• Work with stakeholders, clinicians, and clients to capture and document business requirements.
• Conduct workshops, interviews, and workflow studies to understand healthcare processes.
• Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
• Identify gaps, dependencies, and risks in requirements.

2. Healthcare IT Domain Expertise

• Understand and map workflows of healthcare IT systems (HIS, EMR/EHR, LIMS, PACS).
• Ensure requirements comply with industry standards (HL7, FHIR, HIPAA, ABDM, NABH, ISO).
• Work closely with QA teams to validate clinical use cases and compliance.

3. Documentation & Communication

• Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Specifications (FS), and User Stories.
• Maintain requirement traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Communicate effectively between clients, developers, testers, and product managers.

4. UAT & Client Interaction

• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test cases and validating requirements.
• Coordinate with clients for feedback, approvals, and sign-off.
• Train end-users and provide functional support during implementation.

5. Process Improvement & Business Value

• Analyze existing workflows and suggest process improvements.
• Recommend enhancements to product features for better adoption and efficiency.
• Identify opportunities for automation, integration, and innovation in healthcare workflows.
