Qualifications

• 2–5 years in BA or Systems Analyst in discount brokerage or fintech.
• Knowledge of retail equity trading, F&O, mutual funds, and SEBI/exchange workflows.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum, product backlogs, and acceptance criteria.

Responsibilities

• Gather and translate business requirements into BRDs, FRs, wireframes, and backlogs.
• Map and optimize end-to-end trading workflows including order routing and RMS.
• Document REST APIs and data-mapping schemas with tech teams.
• Ensure compliance with SEBI regulations and exchange circulars.
• Drive UAT, define test scenarios, and support defect-free launches.

Function: Information Technology / Product & Business Operations

About the Role

HDFC SKY, a discount broking app from HDFC Securities, is seeking an analytical and delivery-focused Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business vision, product development, and technical execution. You will define end-to-end operational and product workflows, optimize core trading systems, and ensure seamless feature delivery for our fast-growing discount broking platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Requirement Engineering: Gather, analyze, and translate complex business requirements into clear Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRSs), wireframes, and epic/user story backlogs for engineering teams.
• Broking & Trading Systems: Map and optimize end-to-end trading workflows, including order routing, Risk Management Systems (RMS), Margin Trading Facility (MTF) flows, and depository/clearing operations.
• Data & API Integrations: Partner with tech teams to document REST APIs, third-party vendor integrations (e.g., exchange connectivity, KYC/Onboarding partners, payment gateways), and data-mapping schemas.
• Process & Regulatory Mapping: Ensure all product features and operational processes comply with evolving SEBI regulations, exchange circulars (NSE/BSE), and internal risk limits.
• Execution & UAT: Drive User Acceptance Testing (UAT), define test scenarios, and collaborate closely with QA and Product teams to ensure defect‑free production launches.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 2–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst in a discount brokerage, fintech app, wealth‑tech firm, or capital markets IT consulting unit.
• Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of retail equity trading, Futures & Options (F&O), Mutual Funds, back‑office settlement, and SEBI/exchange workflows.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong hands‑on experience with SQL, API documentation tools (Postman, Swagger), JIRA/Confluence, and flowcharting tools (Lucidchart, Visio, or Figma).
• Agile Expertise: Proven track record in Agile/Scrum environments, managing product backlogs, sprint planning, and writing crisp acceptance criteria.
