Position Title: Business Analyst / Senior Business Analyst – Digital Banking

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Business Analyst with hands-on experience in the Digital Banking domain. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technology teams to deliver innovative, secure, and user-centric digital banking solutions (Mobile Banking, Internet Banking, Open Banking/APIs, Payments, and Onboarding).

You will be responsible for gathering business requirements, converting them into functional specifications, facilitating Agile ceremonies, and ensuring successful solution execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, business operations, compliance, and end-users to gather detailed business requirements.
• Conduct requirement workshops, brainstorming sessions, and user interviews.
• Translate business needs into Business Requirements Documents (BRD), Functional Specification Documents (FSD), User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria.

Digital Banking Domain Execution

• Work across digital journeys including Account Opening (e-KYC), Core Retail Banking, Mobile Apps (iOS/Android), Internet Banking, Digital Payments (NEFT, RTGS, IMPS, UPI, Cards), and Loan Origination Systems (LOS).
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory guidelines (RBI, NPCI, security/compliance frameworks) relevant to digital financial channels in India.

Agile & Project Delivery

• Define and manage the Product Backlog, prioritizing user stories using Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers to create user wireframes, flowcharts, and customer journey maps.
• Act as a liaison between engineering, quality assurance (QA), and business teams throughout the SDLC.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Review and validate test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
• Assist in organizing and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT), logging defect reports, and tracking resolutions.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration (B.Tech/B.E/BBA/B.Com/MBA preferred).
• Experience: 2 to 5 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst in the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) domain, with a strong focus on Digital Banking.
• Domain Expertise:
• Solid understanding of Retail Banking, Digital Payments, Cards, Open Banking APIs, and e-KYC/Onboarding workflows.
• Familiarity with RBI/NPCI digital banking compliance norms.

Soft Skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams.
• Problem-solving mindset with high attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have)

• Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., IIBA ECBA / CCBA, PMI-PBA or Agile certifications like CSPO / SAFe POPM).
• Prior experience working on core banking systems (e.g., Finacle, Flexcube, T24) or fintech integrations.
• Understanding of modern UI/UX principles for mobile apps and web platforms.
