Job summary

NTT DATA North America is seeking a seasoned Business Analyst to support the insurance domain with strong analytical skills and Agile delivery experience.

You will work with product owners to refine requirements, write user stories, and guide junior analysts while aligning features with evolving business goals. Proficiency in SQL and APIs will be beneficial, and nearshore/offshore collaboration is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Economics or related quantitative field.
• Experience in Banking, Finance or Insurance is required.
• Strong analytical skills and data exploration abilities.
• Familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience dealing with complex systems and APIs is a plus.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Insurance domain knowledge, preferably with a strong understanding of the SME business
• Location to work from nearshore (Spain, Italy) or offshore locations (India) but also open to On shore (France & Germany)
• Supports the Technical Product Owners in the management of the product backlog, including creation of user stories
• Breaks down complex problems to smaller issues
• Gives guidance and coordination to junior business analysts
• Works continuously on internal business analysis process improvements
• Participates in product strategy forming and solution design
• Manages stakeholder expectations
• Ensures that the right information is available to the development team in the right level of detail, at the right time, so they can build the right product and provides support throughout the whole software lifecycle.
• Responsible for EPIC DoR
• Defines software requirements through the continuous exploration of the business needs
• Produces and refines requirements through an interactive process of planning, defining acceptance criteria, prioritizing, developing and reviewing the results.
• Ensures that the features requested by the users align with the product’s business goals, especially as the business goals evolve and change over time.
• Supporting implementation team(s) for different CTA projects
• Acting as a mediator between Allianz Technology, Allianz RE and related Operational Entities
• Ability to work in an agile environment
• Experience in Banking, Finance or Insurance is a requirement
• Good analytical capabilities
• Experience using programming languages and database technologies is an advantage
• Ability to manage customers in a dynamically changing environment
• Understanding complex business scenarios using professional analytical skills
• Academic Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Economics or related quantitative field
• Self-driven, autonomous, with ability to work closely with other business analysts, architects and development team to work towards quality product rollout
• Experience dealing with complex systems: real time, operational, analytical (interacting with and specifications definition for these systems is included)
• Demonstrated experience with software development life cycle methodologies, including agile
• Worked in environments that demand fast paced effective delivery under tight timelines
• Data access, data exploration, SQL, etc. for interacting with data
• Working with APIs is a good plus – needed for interaction with data and systems
