Job summary

NTT DATA BUSINESS SOLUTIONS in Bengaluru seeks an experienced Business Analyst / Product Owner to join initiatives across insurance, banking, and finance. You will support Technical Product Owners in backlog management, craft user stories, and ensure the development team has the right level of detail for quality delivery.

The role requires strong analytical skills, fluency in English, and the ability to work in agile environments across international nearshore and offshore locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Insurance/Banking/Finance domain knowledge preferred.
• Excellent English; German is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work in agile environments.
• Experience with SDLC and fast-paced delivery.
• Proficiency with SQL and data exploration.

Responsibilities

• Manage and refine the product backlog and create user stories.
• Guide junior business analysts and coordinate with architects and development teams.
• Ensure information has the right level of detail for the dev team.
• Contribute to product strategy and solution design.
• Serve as mediator between Allianz Technology, Allianz RE, and operational entities.
• Support implementation teams across CTA projects.
• Ensure alignment of features with evolving business goals.
• Participate in continuous process improvements.

Job description

Ideal candidates should have:

• Insurance domain knowledge, preferably with a strong understanding of the SME business
• Location to work from nearshore (Spain, Italy) or offshore locations (India) but also open to On shore (France & Germany)
• Supports the Technical Product Owners in the management of the product backlog, including creation of user stories
• Breaks down complex problems to smaller issues
• Gives guidance and coordination to junior business analysts
• Works continuously on internal business analysis process improvements
• Participates in product strategy forming and solution design
• Manages stakeholder expectations
• Ensures that the right information is available to the development team in the right level of detail, at the right time, so they can build the right product and provides support throughout the whole software lifecycle.
• Responsible for EPIC DoR
• Defines software requirements through the continuous exploration of the business needs
• Produces and refines requirements through an interactive process of planning, defining acceptance criteria, prioritizing, developing and reviewing the results.
• Ensures that the features requested by the users align with the products business goals, especially as the business goals evolve and change over time.
• Supporting implementation team(s) for different CTA projects
• Acting as a mediator between Allianz Technology, Allianz RE and related Operational Entities

• Ability to work in an agile environment
• Experience in Banking, Finance or Insurance is a requirement
• Good analytical capabilities
• Experience using programming languages and database technologies is an advantage
• Ability to manage customers in a dynamically changing environment
• Understanding complex business scenarios using professional analytical skills
• Academic Background: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Economics or related quantitative field
• English language proficiency required
• German language skills are a plus
• Self-driven, autonomous, with ability to work closely with other business analysts, architects and development team to work towards quality product rollout
• Experience dealing with complex systems: real time, operational, analytical (interacting with and specifications definition for these systems is included)
• Demonstrated experience with software development life cycle methodologies, including agile
• Worked in environments that demand fast paced effective delivery under tight timelines
• Data access, data exploration, SQL, etc. for interacting with data
• Working with APIs is a good plus needed for interaction with data and systems
• Confluence for documentation, specifications etc.
