Job summary

JLL in Navi Mumbai, India seeks an experienced HSSE leader to implement global and client-specific HSSE objectives across the WD account. You will guide risk reduction, regulatory compliance, and incident investigations while driving HSSE culture and stakeholder engagement across multiple sites.

The role requires deep knowledge of HSSE systems, cross-country regulatory environments, and experience delivering data-driven safety programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience developing, implementing, and managing HSSE programs.
• Experience managing HSSE for multiple sites across countries and regulatory environments.
• Experience implementing ISO14001 and ISO45001 management systems.
• Experience deploying HSE technology platforms and data-management tools across regions.
• Practical knowledge of risk management in real-estate multi-site portfolios.
• Proven ability to audit and gather objective evidence to ensure HSSE compliance.
• Strong cross-cultural communication and ability to work across geographies.

Responsibilities

• Implement Global WD HSSE and Client strategic objectives for the India WD account.
• Manage and reduce operational HSSE risks by providing guidance at all levels.
• Provide technical advice on HSSE issues and communicate legislative changes affecting service delivery or client occupancy.
• Ensure building-related risk assessments comply with legal requirements and Client Global Risk Control Standards.
• Manage incident and accident investigations for the account.
• Support implementation of an effective HSSE communication plan for the account.
• Foster a culture of safety across the account and lead the development of the account HSSE culture.
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external HSSE stakeholders, including regional HSSE leads, clients, and 3rd-party vendors.
• Ensure 3rd-party vendors maintain compliance with JLL WD and client HSSE standards.
• Support implementation and maintenance of JLL regional HSSE operational controls, processes, standards, procedures, and guidelines.
• Drive development of best-practice HSE training programs and resources within the region.
• Implement HSE strategy and operating protocols for contractor and supply-chain vendor safety performance.
• Support delivery of HSSE regulatory responsibilities and manage change related to new or revised legislation.
• Contribute to the global HSSE leadership team and the WD HSSE program.
• Build and own strong relationships with client representatives and local stakeholders; conduct regular client meetings and feedback sessions.
• Produce management information, specialist reports, and recommendations based on HSSE data.
• Conduct audits, gather objective evidence, and ensure compliance with HSSE standards.

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience managing HSSE for multiple sites across multiple countries with deep knowledge of HSSE regulatory environments in major markets.
• Experience developing, implementing, and auditing ISO14001 and ISO45001 management systems.
• Experience implementing HSE technology platforms and data‑management tools across regions.
• Practical knowledge of tools and techniques for risk management in a real‑estate, multi‑site property portfolio.
• Proven problem‑solving skills for HSSE issues in dynamic, diverse environments and implementation of risk control systems.
• Knowledge of internationally recognized HSSE management systems.
• Ability to work unsupervised, take initiative, and resolve issues independently.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office and common software applications.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to balance competing demands and meet deadlines.
• Ability to research, produce management information, and make recommendations.
