Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is seeking an experienced BIM Manager to support a Data Centre Project in Ahmedabad. The role requires leading BIM execution, coordinating civil and MEP disciplines, and ensuring model integrity across all project phases.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk BIM 360/ACC, along with strong standards and QA processes. This position is based on site in Ahmedabad with a 48-hour week.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8-10 years of progressive BIM management experience.
• Experience managing BIM across civil and MEP on large-scale projects.
• Previous data centre project experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement BIM execution plans aligned with project requirements and client expectations for the Data Centre Project.
• Establish BIM standards, protocols, and workflows for the project team.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary BIM models ensuring integration across civil, structural, architectural, and MEP systems.
• Lead clash detection and resolution processes with design consultants and contractors.
• Oversee creation, management, and quality control of BIM models throughout project lifecycle.
• Ensure accurate 3D modeling, 4D sequencing, and 5D cost estimation as required.

Position Overview

JLL Project and Development Services seeks an experienced BIM Manager to support Data Centre Project. This role requires a seasoned professional with comprehensive expertise in both civil and MEP coordination, specifically within large-scale data centre environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement BIM execution plans aligned with project requirements and client expectations for the Data Centre Project.
• Establish BIM standards, protocols, and workflows for the project team.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary BIM models ensuring integration across civil, structural, architectural, and MEP systems.
• Lead clash detection and resolution processes, facilitating coordination meetings with design consultants and contractors.
• Oversee the creation, management, and quality control of BIM models across all project phases.
• Ensure accurate 3D modeling, 4D sequencing, and 5D cost estimation as required.
• Review and validate design deliverables for constructability, compliance, and data centre operational requirements.
• Manage federated models and ensure seamless information exchange between project stakeholders.
• Lead MEP services coordination with particular focus on data centre-specific systems including cooling infrastructure, power distribution, fire protection, and security systems.
• Coordinate civil works including structural elements, foundations, site development, and infrastructure integration.
• Ensure optimal space utilization and services routing critical to data centre performance and efficiency.
• Work closely with JLL project managers, design consultants, contractors, and client representatives.
• Facilitate BIM coordination workshops and design review sessions.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams on BIM-related matters.
• Generate construction documentation, shop drawings coordination, and as-built model updates.
• Maintain BIM model accuracy and data integrity throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with international standards, local regulations, and data centre industry best practices.
• Implement quality assurance processes for BIM deliverables.
• Support commissioning and handover processes with accurate as-built documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 8-10 years of progressive BIM management experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing BIM across both civil and MEP disciplines on large-scale projects.
• Previous experience on data centre projects is highly desirable and will be given strong preference.
• Proven track record of delivering complex infrastructure projects using BIM methodologies.

Technical Skills

• Expert proficiency in Autodesk Revit (Architecture, Structure, and MEP).
• Strong command of Navisworks for clash detection and 4D simulation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant BIM software platforms.
• Experience with BIM 360, ACC (Autodesk Construction Cloud), or similar collaboration platforms.
• Knowledge of data centre design standards (Uptime Institute Tier classifications, TIA-942, EN 50600).
• Understanding of data centre MEP systems including HVAC, electrical distribution, fire suppression, and monitoring systems.

Education and Certification

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• BIM-related certifications (Autodesk Certified Professional, BuildingSMART, or equivalent) preferred.
• Professional engineering credentials advantageous.
