Job summary

ZF's Research and Development team invites a BSW Developer to design, develop, and debug Basic Software modules within AUTOSAR, and to drive unit and integration testing to ensure robust automotive software.

You will work with 16/32-bit MCUs, especially Infineon AURIX, apply ASPICE processes, and use CANoe/CANalyzer/CANape for debugging. 2–4 years of automotive embedded experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in Embedded C/C++ with experience in software design, debugging, and testing.
• Experience in 16-bit and 32-bit MCUs, preferably Infineon AURIX TC2xx/TC3xx or similar.
• Familiarity with AUTOSAR architecture and startup/shutdown concepts.
• Experience in MCAL, CDDs and sensor drivers is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and debug Basic Software (BSW) modules in accordance with project requirements and AUTOSAR architecture.
• Perform unit testing and functional testing of developed software modules to ensure correct functionality and reliability.

Requirements

• Strong programming skills in Embedded C/C++ with experience in software design, debugging, and testing.
• Hands-on experience with 16-bit and 32-bit microcontrollers, preferably Infineon AURIX TC2xx/TC3xx or similar platforms.
• Good understanding of microcontroller peripherals, low-level driver development, and basic safety mechanisms.
• Exposure to AUTOSAR architecture, including Startup, Shutdown concepts.
• Experience in developing and debugging MCAL, Complex Device Drivers (CDD), and sensor drivers is desirable.
• Working knowledge of automotive tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, and CANape for communication analysis and debugging.
• Familiarity with software profiling/debugging tools and embedded software development processes.
