Role Description

The Bridge Design Engineer role at Rodic Consultants Private Limited is a full-time, on-site position based in Guwahati. The role involves preparing and reviewing structural designs and detailed drawings for bridges and related structures in accordance with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications. The Bridge Design Engineer will perform structural analysis using appropriate software, conduct design calculations, and coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure accuracy, safety, and constructability. Responsibilities include supporting the preparation of technical reports, design documentation, and BOQs, responding to design-related queries during construction, and participating in design reviews and quality checks. The role also requires close collaboration with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to meet project timelines, manage design risks, and contribute to continuous improvement in design practices.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in structural engineering, including bridge analysis and design, load calculations, and familiarity with national and international design codes and standards.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering and design software (e.g., STAAD Pro, MIDAS, SAP2000, AutoCAD, BIM tools) and ability to prepare detailed engineering drawings and models.
• Experience in preparing design reports, technical specifications, and construction documents, with attention to clarity, accuracy, and compliance.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with site and project management teams, and respond to technical queries during project execution.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on safety, durability, cost-effectiveness, and constructability in bridge design.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s in Structural Engineering or related discipline preferred).
• Prior experience in bridge design or highway infrastructure projects will be an advantage.
