Job summary

Stantec is seeking a draughtsman for preparation of general arrangement drawings, concrete/PSC/steel detailing, culvert sheets and wall details. You will implement Stantec standards, ensure budget and schedule adherence, and maintain drawing files through project duration.

You will identify design challenges, document them, and work with the wider team to resolve issues while maintaining quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage project drawings and document control.
• Experience with highway/rail bridge drawings is preferred.
• Strong self-starting work ethic and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Prepare GA drawings, RC/PSC/steel details, culvert sheets and wall details.
• Follow Stantec design standards and ensure on-time delivery.
• Maintain and organize drawing files and records.
• Identify design challenges and document them with the team.

Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION: -

• Preparation of General Arrangement Drawing, detailed reinforced concrete/PSC/steel drawings, culvert sheets, retaining/wing wall details etc.
• Understand design and detailing standards followed by Stantec and implement them at work
• Maintain competitiveness by ensuring drawings are produced within budget and schedule
• Identify and document design challenges and collaborate with the wider team to ensure the challenges are documented
• Understand design development
• Maintain drawing files and records throughout the duration of contracts

PREFFERED SKILLS AND ABILITIES: -

• Data / Document management system experience
• Knowledge of highway and rail bridges
• Ability to work alone and take initiative
• Ability to liaise with the design teams as necessary to coordinate design and drawing production.
• Completing assigned tasks on agreed time, quality, and budget
• Ability to customize and automation of programs and menus to increase drawing productivity
• Responsible for checking own work and ensuring compliance with standards set in the project and adhering to company's quality procedures
• A passion for quality and continuous improvement with a focus on delivery.
