Job description

Biz and Ops | Agent84 & Skivys In-Person | Mumbai Office Full-time

Brand Manager — Agent84 & Skivys

Two women’s apparel brands. Two distinct personalities. One leader accountable for making the clothes more desirable, the customer experience more dependable, and the businesses more profitable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the commercial performance of both brands. Build separate plans and budgets for Agent84 and Skivys. Track revenue, gross margin, contribution profit, inventory exposure, returns, and repeat purchases. Explain what is improving, what is underperforming, and what you will change.
  • Give Agent84 a distinctive identity. Develop the “Agent” concept into a brand voice and customer experience with substance. Translate it into collection storytelling, creative briefs, creator partnerships, and collaborations that customers recognize and want to participate in.
  • Improve Agent84’s sizing and fit confidence. Investigate customer feedback, measurements, grading, returns, and fit across body types. Work with product and supplier partners on the underlying issues, then make size guidance, photography, and product descriptions reflect the actual experience of wearing the clothes.
  • Build a credible fit proposition for Skivys. Understand how its products perform for different bust sizes and body types. Identify when an existing style, such as Daydreamer, can serve a customer better and explain why clearly. Where the product needs improvement, turn feedback into a development brief and validate the result.
  • Diagnose and improve retention. Find out why customers return—or do not. Connect purchase cohorts, product satisfaction, customer service feedback, and email/SMS performance. Improve the product and post-purchase experience alongside the campaigns that bring customers back.
  • Make smarter inventory commitments. Plan buys and replenishment by style, color, and size. Protect availability of proven sellers, test uncertain demand with disciplined quantities, and manage slow stock early. Account for production lead times and the cash tied up in inventory.
  • Strengthen supplier quality and reliability. Work with sourcing and operations on specifications, sample approvals, production consistency, and quality checks. Give factories clear feedback and follow issues through to resolution, particularly where inconsistent Skivys inventory affects customer trust.
  • Evaluate new categories with commercial discipline. Assess seamless and men’s apparel opportunities for Agent84, and maternity, sleepwear, and underwear opportunities for Skivys. Test customer demand, fit, landed cost, minimum order quantities, and margin potential before recommending a launch.
  • Build profitable growth beyond paid advertising. Develop TikTok Shop and affiliate opportunities, creator relationships, customer advocacy, and brand collaborations. For Agent84, build on opportunities such as NSA Swim. For Skivys, assess selective Hawaii wholesale partnerships with clear economics and manageable operational requirements.
  • Lead integrated collection launches. Bring product readiness, inventory, pricing, photography, site merchandising, advertising, email, SMS, and social content into one coordinated plan. Give each channel a clear role and review the commercial result after launch.
  • Direct the shared team effectively. Write useful briefs, set priorities, review work, and resolve dependencies across creative, marketing, technology, customer service, and operations. Use systems, automation, and focused support to increase output efficiently.
  • Create thoughtful portfolio collaborations. Identify opportunities across oCommerce brands where the audience, product, and economics make sense. Give each collaboration a clear customer benefit and a measurable business objective.
  • Your Opening Mandate: First 90 Days — First 30 days: Establish a baseline for each brand. Review customers, fit feedback, supplier issues, inventory, margins, marketing performance, and retention. Present the most important problems and opportunities in priority order.
  • Days 31–60: Begin targeted improvements to sizing guidance, product positioning, retention, replenishment, and quality control. Establish separate brand plans and a shared execution calendar.
  • Days 61–90: Deliver initial commercial tests—for example, an Agent84 collaboration or affiliate initiative and a Skivys fit-focused campaign or category validation. Review the evidence and recommend what to scale, revise, or stop.
  • We will agree targets against the actual baseline. Success means stronger customer satisfaction, better repeat purchasing, healthier inventory, and profitable growth.
Qualifications & Skills
  • You must have previously led a women’s apparel brand. This is a baseline requirement. You should have held meaningful responsibility for its direction and commercial performance, with involvement in product, merchandising, inventory, and customer experience.
  • A demonstrated ability to grow an apparel business while protecting or improving profitability. Be ready to explain the starting position, your decisions, your personal contribution, and the results.
  • Practical understanding of women’s apparel fit, sizing, grading, fabrics, garment quality, and returns. You can work constructively with designers, technical product specialists, and manufacturers.
  • Experience planning collections, forecasting demand, managing size and color assortments, and making buying and replenishment decisions with production lead times in mind.
  • Strong brand and creative judgment. You can explain who a brand serves, why its products matter, and how that should shape photography, copy, campaigns, and partnerships.
  • Experience connecting ecommerce acquisition and retention with the wider business. You understand conversion, customer acquisition cost, repeat purchasing, discounting, and contribution margin—and how product decisions affect them.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams or shared specialists, managing budgets, and delivering work within a lean operating structure.
  • Strong written and spoken English, with the ability to understand and communicate with US consumers and collaborate across time zones.
  • Working familiarity with Shopify, analytics, and email/SMS platforms. You should be able to investigate performance and ask precise questions of specialists.
  • Thoughtful use of AI and automation for research, analysis, planning, and workflow efficiency.
  • Experience Especially Relevant to This Mandate — Athleisure or activewear leadership: Helpful for Agent84’s fabric, fit, seamless development, and collection decisions.
  • Lingerie, sleepwear, maternity, or fuller-bust product experience: Helpful for Skivys’ fit proposition and potential category expansion.
  • Sizing or quality improvement: Directly relevant to earning customer confidence and reducing avoidable returns.
  • Retention improvement: Relevant to turning first purchases into a healthier repeat-customer business.
  • Demand planning and sourcing: Relevant to reducing inventory risk and improving product margins.
  • Affiliates, collaborations, or selective wholesale: Relevant to developing profitable channels beyond advertising.
  • You do not need experience in every category. You do need to show how your previous apparel leadership prepares you to solve the problems these two brands face.
What we're looking for
  • Someone who listens carefully when a customer says, “I’m not sure this will fit me,” and investigates what needs to change.
  • Someone who can give Agent84 and Skivys distinct identities while managing the practical demands of both businesses.
  • Someone who sees a promising collection and asks which styles, sizes, quantities, and margins justify the inventory commitment.
  • Someone willing to improve an existing bestseller before assuming the answer is another launch.
  • Someone who can distinguish a communication problem from a product problem—and act appropriately.
  • Someone who understands that lower manufacturing cost only helps when quality, desirability, and customer satisfaction hold up.
  • Someone who gives specialists clear direction, follows through on decisions, and remains accountable for the result.
  • Someone comfortable telling leadership that a proposed product, campaign, or channel has not yet earned further investment.
What we offer
  • Meaningful ownership of two established brands. Shape their positioning, product priorities, customer experience, and commercial direction.
  • Direct access to company leadership. Work closely with the owners on decisions that materially affect the businesses.
  • Shared specialists to help execute. Coordinate creative, marketing, technology, ecommerce, and operational resources around a coherent plan.
  • Room to apply your apparel experience. Bring what you have learned about fit, sourcing, merchandising, retention, and growth to specific problems with visible outcomes.
  • Responsibility that connects creative work with business results. See how better products, clearer storytelling, and disciplined inventory decisions change customer behavior and profitability.
  • Compensation reflecting the scope of the role. We will discuss experience, expectations, and compensation transparently during the introductory conversation.
Our hiring process
  • Application. Share your résumé and identify the women’s apparel brand you previously led, your responsibilities, and relevant results. Send your résumé, LinkedIn profile if available, and links to relevant brands, collections, or campaigns.
  • Introductory conversation. Discuss the brands, mandate, working arrangements, resources, and compensation.
  • Apparel leadership discussion. Walk us through a business or collection you led. We will discuss product decisions, fit, inventory, marketing, team leadership, and commercial outcomes.
  • Short practical exercise. Using a supplied brief, prioritize the opening actions for Agent84 and Skivys. The exercise will be designed for approximately two to three hours of preparation, with scope agreed in advance.
  • Final leadership conversation and references. Align on decision authority, support, success measures, and the expectations of leading both brands.
