Job summary

HDB Financial Services Ltd. is seeking an experienced credit underwriter. You will evaluate loan proposals across financial, business and industrial risks, verify promoter track records, and assess customers' financial statements to gauge solvency and liquidity.

The role also involves monitoring approval rates, turnaround times, branch audit scores, and credit quality to minimize delinquencies, with 4–6 years of credit/underwriting experience and strong interpersonal skills to foster teamwork.

Qualifications

• Graduate or postgraduate with 4-6 years of credit/underwriting experience.
• Understanding of portfolio metrics and credit risk measures.
• Strong interpersonal skills that promote teamwork and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating credit proposals across financial, business and industrial risk and decisioning of the loan.
• Verifying promoters' track record and their creditworthiness.
• Analyzing financial statements to identify solvency and liquidity positions.
• Monitoring approval rate, TAT and monthly branch audit scores.
• Vendor management and conducting customer meetings to evaluate credit proposals.
• PDD tracking and closure; ensuring repayment instruments are replenished.

Job description

• Evaluating credit proposals covering financial, business and industrial risk & decisioning of the loan.
• Verifying the promoters track record & ascertaining their credit worthiness.
• Analysis of the financial statements of the prospective customer to identify the short term & long term solvency & liquidity position
• To ensure Bounce Rate and Delinquency are within acceptable standards.
• Monitor and enforce approval rate and TAT as per prescribed standards.
• Monitor and ensure that monthly Branch audit score is satisfactory.
• Vendor Management.
• To conduct customer meeting to evaluate credit proposal
• PDD Tracking and closure
• Compliance to repayment instrument replenishment to ensure regular repayment of EMI

Credit Decisions

• Take sound lending decisions based on available information & interactions with the applicants.
• Manage credit quality and control delinquencies, frauds.

Monitoring Performance

• Managing performance in terms of key drivers i.e.
• Loses / Portfolio quality parameters
