Job summary

Responsibilities

• Review orders and create BOMs for pressure relief valves using Master Parts Lists and SAP Variant Configurator.
• Support engineering by creating BOMs for lines in the engineering queue.
• Ensure BOMs meet team service level and quality targets.
• Communicate with engineers to clarify order issues.
• Create new part numbers in SAP as required.
• Participate in RCA/CAPA sessions for BOM issues.
• Collaborate with Stafford engineering on parts clean-up and master list updates.
• Provide technical support for applications and documentation teams.
• Check for duplicates and approve new part numbers.
• Modify/Transfer/Delete part numbers as product engineers require.
• Create new classes, characteristics and values in SAP as specified.
• Perform data cleanup and mass changes as needed.
• Support data extraction in SAP and MS Excel.
• Maintain records of work, metrics and monthly reports.

You will be a part of the Bill of Materials team located in FCEC, Chennai and will be responsible for breaking down the model numbers into the right part numbers to pass on to the factory team for procurement, testing,assembly etc.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Review incoming orders to Stafford and create Bill of Materials for pressure relief valves using Master Parts Lists and SAP Variant Configurator
• Support Stafford Engineering team by creating BOM for lines under the engineering queue. Ensure
• BOM is created in line with the committed team service level and quality targets
• Communicate with Application and Product engineers to clarify issues on Orders
• Create new part numbers in SAP as required
• Participate and host RCA/CAPA sessions for any external errors in BOM
• Work with Stafford engineering team based on their requirements and priorities like parts clean-up activities and updating Master Parts List as required
• Provide technical support for Application and Documentation teams
• Check for correctness, duplicates and approve newly created part numbers
• Modify/Transfer/Delete existing part numbers based on the product engineer's requirement
• Create new classes, characteristics and its values in SAP as specified by the Product Engineer
• Perform data clean-up and mass changes as and when required
• Support various data extraction related activities in SAP and MS Excel
• Maintain the records of work done, team metrics and monthly reports

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering
• Strong communication skills in English – both written and verbal
• Proficiency in MS Office

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• 3+ years' industry work experience with BOM function
• Working knowledge of pressure relief valves, regulators, ASME and API standards
• Knowledge of applicable international codes and standards
• Working knowledge of SAP
