Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking an experienced BMS Engineer for the India Corporate Solutions team. You will be responsible for the successful delivery of engineering services, managing day-to-day BMS operations and optimization of building systems across the headquarters facility.

The role requires 7+ years in maintenance management with strong electrical, HVAC and mechanical knowledge, and the ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree or equivalent with hands-on maintenance experience in building management systems.
  • Experience in coordinating maintenance and operations for large facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and supervise the building management system (BMS) on a day-to-day basis.
  • Coordinate with duty managers and engineers for BMS controls and equipment monitoring.
  • Respond to work requests and manage work orders in the CMMS system.
  • Perform system checks, monitor alarms, and interpret trends for preventive actions.
  • Assist with maintenance, installation, and commissioning of new equipment and controls.
  • Develop maintenance procedures and ensure compliance with safety guidelines.
  • Oversee energy conservation initiatives and manage contractor relationships.

He/she is also responsible to manage the day-to-day site engineering operations and manage shifts with particular focus on having the engineering systems up and running at optimal performance.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIESManage the day to day operations of the BMS system.Coordinate with the various work stream owners, Duty managers and Duty engineers for the functioning of BMS controls and equipment monitoring.Work along with BMS operations lead and guide the BMS operator team to manage daily operationsRespond to customer generated work requests; prioritize, schedule, and assign work to staff, manage work order data in a computerized work management tracking system.Performs system checks, monitors and responds appropriately to alarms, and interprets trending dataAssists with monitoring special controlled temperature and humidity vaultsAssists in documenting changes or modifications to the BMS systems, including programming or set point changesAssists coordinating technical, maintenance, and operations personnel to troubleshoot operating problems and assist in the implementation of new equipment, instrumentation, and controlsAssists in performing scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance, inspections, site surveys, and service requests including replacement and modifications of control or instrumentation equipment as directedDevelops and implements control schemes and control techniques.Performance objectives Should be responsible to supervise and control the operation of the building management system and monitor all plant activities of the headquarters building services, whereby your role will include key responsibilitiesEnsure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations as related to building operations.Recommend and implement improvements for preventive maintenance programs on an on-going basis.Respond to all emergency situations quickly (fire, evacuation, equipment failure etc.) and customer concerns including elevator outages and fire alarm concernsUse tools, meters, and testing equipment to troubleshoot and solve complex problems in mechanical and electrical systems.Coordinate medium voltage repairs with appropriate utility providerIdentify energy conservation projects and assist in the planning and implementation.Develop and maintain effective building-specific maintenance and safety procedure manualsDevelop specifications and manage maintenance and repair service contracts on specialized equipment (i.e., chiller, boilers, EMS system, etc.).Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementationCarry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issuesPlan and oversee all repair and installation activitiesAllocate workload and prioritise work for faster executionMonitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessaryMonitor expenses and control the budget for maintenanceManage relationships with contractors and service providersKeep maintenance logs and report on daily activitiesEnsure health and safety policies are complied with\" > \" >undefined Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Communication – able to effectively communicate in a professional, diplomatic, empathetic, and tactful manner using preferred method and level as applicable to the job.Team Orientation and Interpersonal – highly motivated team player with ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with all levels within and external to the organization.Results Orientation – proven ability to set and exceed established targets. Btech in Electrical / Instrumentation engineering7+ years’ experience in maintenance management roleStrong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, HVAC and mechanical systems Smart and experiencedYou have a degree in engineering, Electrical certification preferred with at least 6-7 years of experience. You are able to think strategically, solve problems, make decisions and manage your key stakeholders. You will have a real passion and interest for the industry, coupled with excellent business partnering & commercial finance experience.CapableYou pay strong attention to detail and possess excellent problem-solving skills. You have good work ethic and a positive attitude with a “can do” mind-set and will follow through on issues.
