Qualifications

• Certified Phlebotomist or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT).
• 1-3 years of experience in blood collection, preferably home collection.
• Proficiency in venipuncture techniques and sample handling.
• Knowledge of infection control and sterilization procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel within the assigned area and work flexible hours.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe and hygienic blood sample collection from patients at their homes.
• Ensure proper labeling, storage, and transportation of collected samples to the laboratory.
• Maintain accurate records of sample collection, patient details, and test requirements.
• Handle patients with care, empathy, and professionalism, ensuring a comfortable experience.
• Follow strict safety and hygiene protocols in compliance with medical guidelines.
• Use proper sterilization and disposal techniques for collection equipment.
• Coordinate with the lab team for timely processing and reporting of test results.
• Educate patients on pre-test precautions (e.g., fasting, hydration).
• Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up visits if required.
